Enough, damn it, ban Splinter. Or ban Dream Theater.

Here, I wanted to write "vuoto spinto" but I must say that the expression "vuoto spento" sounds even better. I really wonder, doesn't this man named Matteo feel ashamed?

There’s a piece by Michele Serra in his column "l'Amaca" from a while back that I’d like to quote. It's a short passage about Paris Hilton, in which Serra writes: "Hilton is the Final Parody; after her, there can be no more parodies, even in a structurally parodic society. All possible myths and role models have been exhausted to the point of fatigue; after an overdose of every type of star, every kind of guru, or maudit or badass, all languages have been repeated poorly and at increasingly loud volumes, and finally, Hilton has been identified as the definitive arrival: someone who, finally, does not only know how to do nothing, but doesn’t even try. Unfortunately, her uniqueness will not be understood. Millions of girls and boys are already dreaming of imitating her." Now, applying this reasoning to Italian music, I would say that the analogy is striking: we are at the bare minimum, musically and in terms of the music industry; doing less than this is an impossible task. This isn’t even a "product"; it’s a pigeon droppings sold in supermarkets, in record stores, and for paid downloads. We have to give credit to these people for managing to represent NOTHING (the EXTINGUISHED VOID) better than anyone else; I truly wouldn’t be able to do it. With a cover that can be created with Photoshop in about 10 seconds, a shitty packaging, a laughable production, and completely nonexistent musical content. How long did it take them to make this album? What could the costs have been? Zero cost. Zero Kelvin. I wouldn't even vote for it.

Ah Kosmo, so that's how I have to win you over? By insulting you?
Kenny Burrell Midnight Blue
Voto:
Bought it yesterday, and I’m enjoying it. It's true, though, that the recording doesn’t have exceptional quality: in several spots, you can hear the guitar scratch in the recording (it doesn't seem to be distortion coming from the amp) and also the saxophone in the higher notes. Nevertheless, the sound is beautifully "big" and intimate at the same time; Ray Barretto on congas completes the percussive sound in a sublime way. Burrell's touch makes the blues shy, reserved, captivating.

"Do you also have an original '69 copy of the double vinyl of Trout Mask Replica at your place?" -----------> Oh well, then you know a lot about music. Sorry, sorry, it wasn't clear from your posts. Pathetic.

"How the hell can you say that Faust IV is better than this?" ----> We’re not rock dictionaries, we are.

I think exactly like you, but I extend my judgment to the entire discography of the band, which is interesting but can also be summarized with a quite justified what a drag. In my opinion, they are a live band, not a studio band.

Yes, but the Can have nothing to do with Zappa, you know. And enough with this "who did it first" story, it's really getting old.
