Ah ok, I don't know why, but I was convinced that he had decided to leave Mallet out for these meetings.

Yes, but Marcato has been too insecure on too many occasions, so I don't see the exclusion as wrong. As for the hand play, we are making great progress and I must say that finally, there is a game with a touch of personality under Mallet, because after the last 6 Nations, there was definitely a strong desire to see him ousted from the role of head coach!

I return only to partially rectify my judgment on the album given yesterday: with repeated listens, it grows and deserves more than just a passing grade. Unfortunately, the commendable writing ambitions of Capovilla often miss the mark, and I feel a certain pompousness at times and noticeable drops in style in others.

@ Telespalla: I agree with the analysis of the match; if we had people who were good at kicking (not just during set pieces, but also during play) we could really compete on equal terms even with teams like South Africa. Gower and McLean are useless.

""And anyway today South Africa (the world champions right?) - no one gave a damn about Italy"" ---------> Can we stop shooting bullshit and passing it off as truth? I quote telespallabob affectionately.

I went to see them in concert yesterday (for the fourth time, the first since the new album) and I also bought the new record. Well, I didn't like it much, the spell of the first one has already broken. Here and there, a few flashes of class, “Majakovskij” is an incredible track that makes me not regret buying the album, “mai dire mai” and “Alt!” kick ass and the idea of “Padre Nostro” is quite exciting. The first three tracks of the album make it clear what their current intentions are; after a certain age, you have to bring something home, so they decided to combine the useful with the enjoyable. I liked the concert, a bit less the moralistic diatribes of Capovilla that I find frankly sickening and useless, the stories about Africa and the self-celebration in phrases like “Guys, we are creating culture and you don’t even realize it?” But whatever. The things that are thought are said in the songs, but then let's cut the moralizing at concerts; if I wanted to hear Bono Vox, I wouldn't go to an arci club. A decent album.

It depends on the team... if you had taken Totti away from the national team in 2006, it wouldn't have changed anything at all; in fact, we might have played even better. That said, there are individual talents in every strong team, of course. The discussion started from the fact that algol believed that Italian sports are characterized by individualism, and that's why I pursued this argument to simply demonstrate that it's not the case.

Individual action matters, but it must always be supported by the team, as someone mentioned earlier. Is it really that hard to understand?

Exactly Gasta, it makes no sense to not understand a sport and then to talk crap about it while expecting that the media shouldn't pay attention to a match of the same sport. The futility of certain discussions. But then again, there are people here who don’t understand anything even about the national sport, considering that they’re talking about "individualism" and "undeserved world title" in relation to a team that scored twelve goals during the World Cup made by 10 different players and conceded only two.

"This mini debate only confirms what Algol wrote about Italy - New Zealand" -------------> With which it has as much relevance as cabbages to a snack.
