I share a few thoughts on the film, even if you could have elaborated more. The starting idea is good, if only for its "unusual" perspective, and the child was very endearing. I agree with the discussion on propaganda, but credit to him if he managed to evoke emotions with a "trick." 3.5

See Grant, let's get to the talk about the Feeder, the Manics... who can understand certain mysteries? These teenage pimpled kids are trending today, while the two mentioned groups are a bit out of the box (just like Coldplay and Muse, who deserve their success in my opinion). They belong to the universal league of ROCK bands, while apparently, to be trendy today you need to have a very specific label. It's no longer enough to just be rock... :s

I don't know, I only feel the itch if I hear them mentioned.

I know, Grant, I caught the video on MTV of the new one from the Manics. Back in '98 there was quite a bit of promotion for This Is My Truth... and all 4 singles were played pretty frequently (do you remember the old show with Victoria Cabello “Select”?). Then, starting with Know Your Enemy, they were more under the radar...

You're right, the British export market is quite strange, or maybe it's just Wales that's unfortunate. Think of Super Furry Animals, Manic Street Preachers (who, with the due proportions among the "missing" figures, have something in common, considering the stylistic path followed), Stereophonics; the latter, despite two major hits like Have a Nice Day and Maybe Tomorrow, were somewhat overlooked with their latest album (which was definitely much more rock than the previous two). Oh well...
