The ballads are great, but the rest has never really excited me that much. The highlights for me are Hunger Strike and Say Hello To Heaven.

For me, a soundtrack is valid even when, taken out of the context of the film, it still works well. However, your point of view is interesting and worth considering. In my opinion, it's not that we must adhere strictly to certain standards... a soundtrack that manages to move you in a particular context undoubtedly enhances the film. Conversely, it does not diminish its value; it would be ridiculous not to recognize the validity of a film taking into account the soundtrack, which is why I agree with Zarathustra that it is subordinate to the film, and not the other way around or anything else.

I don't know the album, but you'd deserve a 5 just for mentioning the Oesais. Pearls like "Nui ng'ima spusaje" stay in the heart :-)

Ahuahauhau! You're right, I did some research as well; such offenses against decency are definitely worthy of a penal code :-)

Nice review. The album doesn't move me in the same way throughout its duration. There are fantastic songs like Coles Corner, The Ocean, Born Under A Bad Sign, Hotel Room, Who's Gonna Shoe Your Pretty Little Feet, that somewhat eclipse the others. The masterpiece in my opinion is Lowedges.
