Rewatched a few days ago on Sky, hilarious in some parts but didn't excite me.
Still, the scene with the excessive speed is fantastic :)

I hate track by track. I've only listened to the band's latest single... which is actually very U2-ish.

Monta_emo, you’re right, the real emo is only that of Rites Of Spring and their peers (which to me still seems nothing more than punk rock, but that’s another story). That said, labeling from autumn to ashes as emocore – especially those from the first album – doesn’t seem like a big mistake to me because it strikes me as emotional hardcore at the peak of its expression. Besides, it’s pointless to dwell too long on labels...

No no, this is just not it...
First of all, let's clarify that this album wades halfway between metalcore and pop/punk.
The toughest tracks, however, are those recycled from the previous EP, like Guilliotine (which is definitely NOT DEATH METAL??!??) and There's No Sympathy For The Dead.
The rest, unfortunately, as already mentioned, starting from the hit situations, is truly heartbreaking because it totally lacks power and bite, with the exception of the catchy The Webs We Weave and the listenable My Apocalypse.
Anyway, emo is a genre that died in the '90s, and has nothing to do with Escape the Fate, just as putting UnderOath (metalcore), Hawthorne Heights (pop-punk), and From Autumn To Ashes (Emocore) in the same pot is heresy.

The homepage of DeBaser is clogged with crap. What is the reason for this recent boom of reviews about dung?
