finally a bit of Jamaica even in debbaser, it was really missing. although he's not among my favorites, Jackie is truly a pioneer... reggae was still yet to come, and so was ska. zion, this is not roots, it’s way before that. the influence of "continental" music (funky and r'n'b) was still very strong and especially very recognizable. well done to NRD.

I wasn't very convinced by the fishtank series. I have motorpsycho + jaga jazzist which is nothing special, the nomeansno who mostly rehash old tracks (!), and the tassilli players who don't add anything new to their output. Maybe this one is more convincing.

MDC Millions of Dead Cops

In my view, the MDC of thrash have nothing. To stay within a realm dear to Pretazzo, I would say that the DRI are perhaps more thrash-oriented. I could be wrong, but the sound of MDC is really old school hardcore with more punk rock "English-style" reminiscences than anything else. In any case, they are good in both cases.
