I haven't seen the movie in a while, but I definitely remember it better than Nolan's extremely disappointing one... my favorite is definitely the second one, though. "Cinepanettone" is really like free words, anyway.

It's not even close to being the best album by the Stones, but "2000 Light Years from Home" and "She's a Rainbow" are worth the price by themselves. Jagger and Co's psychedelic record is neither the Piper of the Pink Floyd nor Sgt. Pepper, but after all, it's an experiment in a territory that doesn't belong to them.

The problem is not at all a debate between lightness and commitment; quite the opposite. Even easy listening, pop, can simply be done well or done poorly, of the highest quality or muzak from department stores sold by the pound. On the other hand, "commitment" alone is not a guarantee of a good song! The specific issue for me with people like Liga or Vasco is this fake rebellion, this attitude, this pose that is absolutely no longer credible. Fine.

@ gbrunoro: you mention Vasco, Ligabue, and the early Litfiba, but they are three very different phenomena. The early Litfiba are quite respected by everyone, and rightly so. The very first Vasco should not be forgotten in favor of the boiled and precooked Vasco of today, who has nothing left to say. Ligabue lasted for the duration of 3 songs. If you look at them now, in 2008, Vasco, Liga, and Pelù are supermarket family pseudorockers, they even get incontinent grandparents to hum along, it's obvious they have zero credibility.
