Heartfelt congratulations on the dramatic overturning of the Bertoncelli/Guccini affair. The point was never that Bertoncelli had condemned the album (which, although undeserved, is another story) but rather the reason why. This was not linked to a musical critique, but, as Bertoncelli himself admitted, to an ideological stance that was very much in vogue at the time: "It was a nasty habit of the era to dictate to artists what they should do, indeed, who they should be, and I fell for it with the Leninist zeal of a Red Guard." Bertoncelli's words leave no room for doubt, so whoever was in the wrong, and even admitted it, was indeed Bertoncelli. In fact, the two cleared the air and Guccini even offered to remove the critic's name from the song, which he insisted should remain. Let’s get our facts straight before spreading such nonsense.

Obviously bullshit. With all due respect. Because passing such a judgment with such superficiality does not honor anyone's intelligence.

It is evident from the comments that this is an album that by its nature cannot please everyone. @primiballi: the painter Battiato is indeed quite naive, but he himself has said that he began to paint mainly to overcome a personal limitation, signing himself with the pseudonym Suphan Barzani. In any case, it is indeed better if someone else does the covers!

I don't have this, but Sticky Fingers has no equal against any rock album from here to Aldebaran.

A good review for an album that, as Danilo points out, represents a return to a more straightforward rock sound for Ruggeri after several albums more influenced by the French and Tom Waits. It's not my favorite, but it's still a work of good quality.

Great album (you "stole" my review ;-)) really a highly recommended record, also beautiful is Pressure On.
