Righeira The Best
Voto:
In the boundless minestrone of Italian pop from the 80s, the Righeira stand out for a handful of unforgettable songs. In the sense that they are truly unforgettable. Vamos a la playa and L'estate sta finendo are two pop pieces that have little to do with the junk that’s circulating now. The two "brothers" took Battiato's lesson and applied it with a certain intelligence to their purpose (collage lyrics with exotic imagery set to catchy melodies). Then the game didn't last long, but the dynamic duo remains one of the most interesting and joyful phenomena of the era.

One of the best films of the year, this one. Full of quotes and cinematic and literary references. I don't know what the comparison to 300 leads to since the only thing they have in common is being based on a comic book, but if that's the case then so are Spiderman and the Fantastic Four. It would have made much more sense, for example, to compare it to Doctor Phibes...
Claudio Baglioni Io Sono Qui
Voto:
However, one thing can be said about Baglioni: he has tried, for better or for worse, to modernize, to move forward, in some way to become a bit more "sophisticated," thus taking (or trying to take) the opposite path of Venditti and Dalla of the moment. In short, he has tried to become a bit more "authentic." Perhaps he didn't succeed and resorted to lifting, but for me, it's at least a point of merit. I'm saying this as a non-listener of the national-popular Claudione, of course.

Nice film, which for some reason didn’t completely convince me when I saw it in the theater, but we could use more films like this. "And anyway, there was already a review of mine"... and isn’t a nice "who cares" something we want to say?
Toto Cutugno L'italiano

Once in Greece, I was at this gyros vendor and I hear this familiar song on the radio, and he says to me, "Italiano, Cutugno, Cutugno!" I mean, he was a die-hard fan of Cutugno because there they play his songs sung by Toto right in Greek, crazy...
Elton John The One

It's a shame that paradoxically the last, and I reiterate, excellent albums haven't achieved the commercial success of the mediocre works from the 90s.

But why the introductions every time, ladies and gentlemen, this is my eighth review and why this and why that... but who cares, just write it already.

Lapsus: The CAPTAIN and the kid, obviously.
Elton John The One

Good album from Elton's pre-Disney era, but it has to be said that the last two or three records are truly a return to the past, and the last one in particular, The Cowboy and the Kid - which I reviewed - is an album both beautiful and underrated.

Of course I agree with Ghemison. Emphasizing that no one is here to distribute certainties, I find that JC is an actor with a disruptive personality, someone who can single-handedly change a movie. Norton, who is also good, doesn't have that. PS Eternal Sunshine, great film, only in Italy could someone think of ruining it with that idiotic title of Se mi lasci ti cancello!!!
