If you run out of ideas, you should either stop making albums or take a nice trip like Donovan (was it Donovan???), change your name, and try to regenerate without exploiting the old fans who buy everything, including crap. Here we were talking about Genesis and Abacab, not the glorious past of Genesis themselves.

Face Value and Abacab are from the same year, I think 1981. The Genesis were trying their hand at pop. Collins bored us for a while with a nice song "In the Air Tonight" and a lot of garbage. As for the Genesis, after Abacab I didn't hear them anymore. Maybe I was lucky.

1971 LOVE AND NON-LOVE is a hodgepodge album released by Ricordi, featuring some minor tracks like "Dio mio no" and long instrumental improvisations with unpronounceable titles. Clearly, it’s a work published by the record label to fill the void left by Battisti, who was departing for the newly-formed Numero 1.

only "my free song" can compete with this album. "At the cinema" with its comparisons between movies and real life is certainly better than "damn cat," however, back then you would listen to an album on the radio; the first weeks only the hits, but then, little by little, the DJs would start digging through the grooves and you would know at least 7/8 songs from each work.

perhaps the best album by Battisti and Mogol, technically perfect, no flaws, a lifetime at the top of the charts, sure they are just songs but there are songs and there are songs.
