You know what H.B. is and that the years go by, we grow up and our idols don't grow with us. Personally, I find it irritating to see all those 40-somethings at R.Z. or Vasco concerts pretending to be 16 again. As for the careers of the two, I’d prefer to keep a veil of pity (for my tastes) over almost everything post-1982, even if they've still produced a few nice songs, one or two on each album. The problem is that now CDs contain too many songs, and 8/10 fillers seem excessive to me. I would rather wait several years for a new album, like De André did (and partly the ever-underappreciated Faust'o); at least in two or three years, some nice things can be conceived. The issue with certain artists is that once the anger of their early works fades, they rest on their laurels, always rehashing the same warmed-over song that's good for any season.
