Lagwagon have been definitely valid, but this is one of their worst. They are getting older too, and after "Let's Talk About Feelings" they dropped significantly in quality. The last one, "Resolve," is really not great; that knucklehead Joey Cape is too caught up with Bad Astronaut. If I had to recommend an album of theirs, I would choose "Hoss," which is excellent.

If you really care about what you asked, listen to Dj Gruff, Kaos, Sangue Misto, Melmaemmerda, the old stuff from Neffa, Gopher D, 13 Bastardi... I know it might seem strange to someone not in the know, but yes, in Italy, there are also normal people who rap alongside certain clowns.

MF Doom is incredible, all the stuff he did under various pseudonyms is mind-blowing with excitement, just like the work he did with KMD is absolutely valid. Probably my favorite American. "Real men mind their own business, that's the difference between sissypissy rappers and double dutch, how come I hold the microphone double-clutch." Immense in every sense eh eh eh =D

I completely agree with ZiOn, even about tastes when it comes to Ippop. SanoBiz is a bunch of idiotic pro-American people chasing after fake contests and prepared freestyles. Bella Sangue Misto, FCE, Melmaemmerda, Kaos, Dj Gruff, Alien Army, Colle der Fomento, 13 Bastardi, Maserio.

I managed to endure it for 10 minutes"..."He doesn't know how to rap: zero technique, zero style, exaggerated topics, and ridiculous poses of a junkie and a gangster, really one of the worst rap things to come out in the last 5-6 years": ZiOn I fully agree with everything you say, they should burn Bassi and his crap, the CDB, the Club Dogo, and all of the SanoBiz. You represent the collapse of a scene and are the thorn in the side of those in Italy doing rap well with originality, avoiding mimicking American mafiosos.

the rotten world objectively sucks both for its music and what it represents: he is indeed a bad copy of American rappers. But to say that rap isn't music, that's a different story. And in Italy, there are talented people who do it well (see DJ Gruff).

To say that Fabri Fibra is style and technique, and that this album is beautiful is unacceptable. Fibra was a good MC before Mr. Simpatia, but this is a farce; these are simple rhymes and catchphrases over terrible pop beats, music for people who don't understand music. The true Italian rap is something entirely different. At most, this can be considered a fun album...
