The Mistresses play a very fast death/thrash bastardized with grind. Lightning fast, they remind me a lot of Napalm Death but they are anything but a bad copy. Look for the latest "The Glory Bitches Of Doghead" (I think that’s how it’s written), I've heard some tracks on MySpace that are terrifying.

Ah, and I can guarantee you that the territory I ventured into with this review is anything but sad; dark, yes, but I think it's impossible to get depressed with work like this. It's not a depressive-suicidal black metal album, you know; it's much, much faster and more energetic :D

X cofras: I understand your point of view; after all, I’m passionate about extreme metal, and sooner or later, this album—which has received numerous accolades from both critics and the public—was bound to land in my hands. And I can assure you that it’s been ages since I've heard anything so engaging. Furthermore, despite their rather ambiguous name (in this regard, check out Vincent Valentine’s comment, as he included a detail I forgot to add in the review, thanks), they know how to create truly eerie atmospheres without resorting to satanic themes or anything occult in general. Oh, by the way, Zappa is becoming one of my icons :P
