Yes Beatboy, I admit it, I said it above too, undoubtedly his songs boast a strong originality and freshness compared to "pure" pop music, so to speak.. however, I’m sorry, I just can’t bring myself to like it. To be honest though, there are some Battisti songs that I really like: "Anche Per Te," "Dolce Di Giorno," "Il Tempo Di Morire," "Emozioni," "Era" (really beautiful, it reminds me a bit of "Norwegian Wood," I don’t know why..), "Io Vivrò," but to be honest also "Amarsi un Pò" and "Una Giornata Uggiosa." So in the end, I find myself forced to reassess my opinion.

Well, that's REALLY unbearable; sure, Battisti's voice isn't SO unbearable. But guys, what can I say, I can't stand Battisti: I appeal to "de gustibus" :-)

Of course, the exact link is this: Scrivere per il web: consigli e idee - MdS that is, without space.

In summary, writing on the Internet follows a certain style, adhering to rules set by people with experience in the field. No one is forcing you to follow these rules, of course (I myself have sometimes exaggerated in length and "heaviness" of expression in some reviews - especially the earlier ones - and lately I've tried to lighten my writing style for this reason), even more so if you are writing on a non-professional site. However, a critique similar to the one made by me and Festwca is more than justified, especially since the very site you are writing on has clear rules in this regard.

It's not that I have little faith in the concentration capacity of those who read on this site; the fact that the concentration and attention of those reading things displayed on monitors is significantly lower than the norm is a well-known fact, emphasized by all web-editing experts who, not surprisingly, recommend prioritizing brevity and expressiveness. If you visit the page Scrivere per il web: consigli e idee - MdS setting aside the parts related to design and graphics, you'll read what I've told you.

On the other hand, there's no need to change location; just read the guidelines from editors who, in addition to laying down syntactic rules, even set a maximum character count (which, to be honest, seems a bit restrictive to adhere to). I don't think they do this for sport: they certainly find shorter reviews more desirable.

That said, do as you wish; given the annoyance you've shown in your previous comment, I won't dare to criticize you again.

And anyway, there was no need to take it personally; it was a constructive criticism, more than anything, it was just an opinion.

fusillo, I can't find what you said to Festwca, unless you used another alias. Oh my god, I might have completely lost it, in which case please don't point it out to me.

BeatBoy, I've listened to some tracks from that phase: however, in my opinion, it's clear as day that prog is not for him. I mean, let's compare him to people who take Prog seriously, like Banco, PFM, Le Orme, Balletto di Bronzo, Area, and all the others that I can't think of right now. The song you mentioned, though, I don't seem to remember it; to be honest, it feels like I've never listened to it. I'll take care of that. As for the rest, guys, I don’t know, I just can't stand Battisti, especially his truly unbearable nasal voice.
