Robert Johnson The Complete Recordings

Yes, the review is certainly very good and in my opinion, it should have been among the recommended reviews. However, there are a couple of things that don't convince me: first of all, I believe that everything can be said about Johnson and his blues except that it is "refined." His artistic personality, precisely because it embodies the essence of Mississippi and everything you mentioned (very well) in the review, solely with a ragged acoustic guitar in hand, does not seem to me to be definable as refined!! :-)
The overall analysis you provide of the lyrics and the life of the Great is splendid, especially since we are talking about an Anthology, that is, a work that finally gathers the entire corpus of an artist...
In short, well done. One thing I don’t understand, and I would like to discuss with everyone: do you really think Johnson is that great with the guitar? I’ve been playing for years and I honestly can't grasp what his notorious technique consists of... to the point of being explained as a pact with the devil... who knows, however, it does not take away from the immeasurable greatness of this incredible bluesman, one of the fathers of the entire musical genre.

Samples inserted, let me know what you think... a couple of notes: sample number 4 is the Bachiana Brasileira by H. Villa Lobos requested by fusillo [ :-) ], and by mistake I included two identical samples, namely 5 and 6 (I got a little mixed up...). I hope you like them! See you soon.

But for heaven's sake, Ligabue has nothing to do with blues or rock. And what drives me crazy is how overrated he is...

Got it, Hal.. :-) I plan to put them up in the evening, otherwise tomorrow since I have the whole day free... Bye!

Oh my God, generally you're right, but I have to break a lance in favor of the latest Christina Aguilera who, besides being exponentially sexier than the others you've mentioned who actually just shake their asses, also has a beautiful voice and her latest single is quite enjoyable. You understand what I meant before getting offended.

Anyway, I thank you for your appreciation and interest: in particular, the latter makes me the happiest, with that little outburst I tried in some way to focus attention on an album that deserves it; certainly, I didn't do it to receive compliments which, at least on my part, are always more than welcome. Regarding the samples, I read the help, and as soon as I have a bit of time, I'll take care of inserting them.

You’re right, it’s very beautiful, but in my opinion, Atom Heart Mother loses a lot without Geesin's orchestrations... it becomes just another piece of rock-progressive like many others... good review.

Honestly, at the moment I'm not capable... I'll get to work anyway!

Hooray for reviews of emerging artists!!!! I write for glory... And then there are those who complain about people who (rightly) to start a musical conversation or pseudo such review the big names and big albums... loading themselves with tons of insults! Where are the various characters now who criticize duplicates? No hard feelings anyway, it’s just to highlight the hypocrisy of many figures who roam, read, and write on this site playing a part. The fact that this review hasn't been read makes me particularly sad because the musicians in question truly deserve to be known and listened to, but primarily because I spent a lot of time researching the various original pieces, their composers, and also musicians like Felicioni who are practically absent on the web... Honestly, I expected a different interest. Well, see you next time.
