Iron Maiden Somewhere In Time
Voto:
Not their best work, the next album is much better in my opinion.

In my opinion, they make awful music, truly gaudy and clumsily pretentious. I don’t have the courage to express myself about a reunion like this; I believe they should call it quits and focus on other projects, perhaps even on different music, since they are excellent and extremely technical musicians. The review hits the mark quite well.
Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon

Pink and Floyd were the surnames of 2 great bluesmen, the idea of juxtaposing the 2 surnames to form the band’s name was Barrett.... :-)

An honest review finally on a magnificent album. Certainly the best review present here on this record. However, I believe, and don’t take it the wrong way, that you have somewhat tangled, so to speak, the meaning of some songs. For instance, Breathe is not focused on the fear of death (which indeed makes its appearance in The Great Gig In The Sky) but rather is an invitation to breathe, that is, to concentrate on one’s breath, if we want to, on oneself, to disconnect from the schizophrenic frenzy of the world, excellently rendered by the sound collage of Speak To Me which anticipates the themes of the subsequent songs, creating an imaginary thread (hence concept album): cash registers, the neurotic laughter of the guy who will reappear throughout the album especially in Brain Damage, clocks, etc. Just to convey this concept, the song is calm and soft, with that pedal steel guitar that is simply sublime. Even Time, masterfully linked to On The Run, is not a reflection on the waste of time, but rather an invitation to take possession of one’s time: we must be the ones to decide how to use it, not let ourselves be swallowed by the rhythms of the world or by the false belief that, excuse the pun, there is "time" to do so and to start living our lives immediately, not waiting for some "starting gun" or someone to tell you "when to run." Waters himself has invited on more than one occasion not to trivialize the meaning of the song, which is much more than an invitation not to squander one’s time, although a reflection on this matter is made. You could have said more about Money and also about Brain Damage. I repeat, don’t take it the wrong way, the review is worthy of praise because it finally offers some food for thought.
Pink Floyd Relics

I believe this album is absolutely nothing special, and I'm surprised by the opinions that fans like me have about it... it certainly contains a few interesting gems among tracks already present on other albums, but for the rest, it's a pretty common compilation... In my opinion, a bit of objectivity wouldn't hurt every now and then.

It's a very interesting review, but it's too long; in the end, it's hard to keep concentration and interest alive. The album is evidently a mere commercial operation, and honestly, for me, it's quite superfluous.
Iron Maiden Death On The Road
Voto:
I love Maiden, but in my opinion, it's just a commercial operation (like all live albums, really..) that doesn’t bring anything new to what was heard in Rock in Rio. However, Maiden are really a guarantee, so they won't fall below a sufficient level.
King Crimson THRaKaTTaK

In my opinion, after Islands they haven't done anything of that level. This album is pathetic; what really makes me feel sorry is the people who went to listen to it, what they call fan adoration...

I quote whoever came before me, who made an almost perfect analysis of my favorite band (along with Pink Floyd, of course). However, I can't fully agree on the lyrics: I mean, things like "piccola strizza il mio limone" or "è risaputo che la donna è un essere inferiore" are certainly not of absolute quality... :-) But they fit perfectly with the spirit of the music; from that perspective, I agree, the lyrics of their songs are always perfectly in tune with the music that accompanies them.
