Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III

Exceptional album, a solid 5 just like I, II, IV, and Houses Of The Holy (even though the latter is extremely different from the previous ones). When Page has the acoustic guitar (or the mandolin) in hand, he's almost better than with the Les Paul... not to forget the extraordinary John Paul Jones, an incredible musician and performer of many of the mandolin parts present. There's no need to comment on the tracks one by one. The weakest track is Out Of The Tiles, whose riff was still a must in concerts as an introduction to the legendary Black Dog.. I think the rating given to Tangerine is exaggerated; undoubtedly a magnificent track, a masterpiece, legendary and whatever you want, but not on the level of Stairway To Heaven: that arpeggio, that solo, those lyrics.. in short, I believe the reviewer has overstated. Nice review anyway.

Of course, Peace Frog is NOT on this album; I mentioned it in a general context.

I quote Jim Morrison, but regarding the film I would be a bit less drastic: it is true that it doesn’t express the more intimate and poetic side of Jim at all, focusing exclusively on the more cinematic aspects of his life, such as the experience with peyote, women, Miami, and so on. Nevertheless, as someone who is almost a layman in cinema, I believe it is well done, at least concerning the public aspect of the great Jim's life. As for the band, well, I have always said that the Doors are extremely underrated at a technical level; in reality, not many bands can boast the technique of the three musicians. It remains true that their greatness lies in their compositions (listen carefully to "Peace Frog," analyze it in its minutest aspects: drums, guitar, bass, lyrics, structure of the piece, melody...) and this debut unequivocally demonstrates that.

I saw him live recently, and I have to say I was extremely disappointed by the brevity of the show and the setlist... Not to mention the unfortunate choice of bringing along the one who actually acts like a monkey... And then how much he talks and how seriously he takes himself: an hour and a half of show, no more than an hour of music, the rest all superficial and demagogic chatter (all strictly against the USA). His current musical tastes also leave me quite perplexed... the Velvet, can we even realize, there’s probably something unclear going on... The review is very long, but at least I read it with pleasure. I don't know about the album, it must suck.

Just because he’s dating the most beautiful woman on the planet, I give him the maximum. As for the rest, I won’t comment; after all, I don’t know him and I’m not that interested.

Oh my God, the review is a bit skimpy... and risks trivializing an excellent album like this one and a progressive band among the most pillaged in history (see Dream Theater's Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence). They are great, in my opinion much more refined and elegant (also in terms of vocal harmonies) than the more famous Rush... To DaveJon, a piece of advice: forget about the standards, well-written reviews are always a pleasure to read, whether they're right or left.
