I love this CD. PERIOD. Here is where the Red Hot really play!

A easycure: It seems to me that the one with a narrow musical mindset is you. What I proposed touches on pretty much all genres except blues, so can you explain how you manage to review the works of fantastic musicians without liking them... and then how can you despise Andy Timmons and Castellano? I'm really starting to doubt your mental health... (of course, listening to the Velvet Underground, sooner or later, makes you go crazy...)
I don’t want to argue with you anymore because you are really too critical and annoying for me.
And remember: the authors you listed may be original, but when it comes to groove and musicality (except for Patti Smith and Pink Floyd), they don’t even know what those are.
When I listen to music, I don’t want to fall prey to convulsions from too many strange sounds, I just want to tap my foot and get excited... and then I like to catch the nuances that are there... If you don't catch nuances in Dream Theater, that’s your problem, but if you don’t catch them in all the ARTISTS I listed, then stay in your obtuse musical mindset. CHECK YOURSELF!!!!!

Matt7, these are indeed sensible words!!!!!! I should build you a monument. But really, have you been to a Petrus seminar? Because if that's the case, you are truly very fortunate......

Sure, here’s the translation:
Alright, let me list a good number of groups or musicians who are amazing to me (not just technically, okay?)........
Andy Timmons, America, Eric Johnson, G. Castellano, Gabriele Bellini (he does strange and innovative stuff, but it’s really cool..), Tuck & Patty, Soundgarden, Steve Morse (but you definitely know this one), Andrea Scogliamillo Trio (they do jazz and the guitarist is insane...), Art Blakie (or however it’s spelled...), Greg Howe, Ron Thal (another strange guitarist, but with guts...), Vinnie Moore (thankfully the last CD isn't Malmsteen-esque...), Robben Ford, Steve Vai (but you know this one for sure!), Symphony X, Vanden Plas. There are so many...... I could go on until tomorrow.....
If you have a broader musical culture than I do, then give me a list of some lesser-known but talented people, so I can start listening to them. (I hate metal with screaming vocals, so don’t include those shit bands in your list........)

Aberrant..... what a refined term..... anyway, Easycure, instead of dedicating me two little speeches with bows and despising this wonderful album, I suggest you start composing something and compare it with just one song by DT (even randomly...) and you'll realize you’re musically a little shit..... and don’t start saying things like - these technicalities are self-congratulatory and meaningless (well, they could have spared us "The Dance of Eternity"...) because I'm sure you're not even capable of playing them-.
And anyway, don’t say that I only care about technique because you’re grossly mistaken.... I listen to authors that you might not even know and who are, melodically speaking, sublime...

Listen to her album, especially the last track.

I respect your opinion, I also believe that Steve sometimes shows off just to self-promote. However, I don't stop at Vai, and that's why I consider him a genius, because I've never heard anything like it... I'm realizing that his music is influencing many Italian musicians, especially those who are becoming known and are composing increasingly alternative stuff, e.g. Giacomo Castallano, Gabriele Bellini, etc. (let's not advertise...)
Eric Johnson Venus Isle
Voto:
He is a famous session musician who has released three solo albums: "Ear x-tasy," "Ear x-tasy 2," and "That was then, this is now" (which is sort of a greatest hits). He certainly doesn't have the popularity of Vai, but in my opinion, he is the perfect guitarist. He also worked with Simon Phillips producing a fusion LIVE album called "Out of Blue." These albums are very, very hard to find, so you can order them online or download them with P2P. This guitarist is very technically skilled, but his greatest quality is the way he improvises; simply impressive. And then he has a touch.........

Someone who says that barely "Juice" is worth saving doesn't grasp the genius of Vai. If "Tender Surrender" or "The Boy From Seattle" didn't appeal to you, then go ahead and listen to Gigi D'Alessio...

Those who don't understand Vai's music don't even deserve to listen to it, remember that!
