Queen A Night At The Opera

Anyway, the Doors knew what they were doing! Surely more original and innovative than Queen.

You cannot compare a singer (however skilled), a songwriter of easy-listening pop songs (however elaborate) to Mozart, one of the greatest geniuses in the history of music. You have no clear historical perception of music! You think there can be a continuity between classical and rock! You think the Rolling Stones are like Bach a few centuries ago! You are mistaken! Rock is at best equivalent to German lieder, Neapolitan classic songs, or certain folk music from the past! That’s what rock is! A sophisticated music for the masses, mostly made by musical illiterates (and even when created by people who understand music, they are generally crude individuals who would have been better off dedicating themselves to something else). Led Zeppelin are NOT the descendants of Beethoven, damn it! And neither is Malmsteen comparable to the greats of classical music (even if some claim that just because Malmsteen plays guitar like it’s a violin!). There are very few geniuses in this genre! Very few would deserve to be mentioned in a short paragraph on rock music (the extravagance of the twentieth century) in the music encyclopedia!

Anyway, it's true! I forgot about the unplugged concert for MTV! That one is really great too! I have the VHS tape!

I would never mock someone who chose "Zarathustra" as their nickname since I love Nietzsche very much.

For Zarathustra: "About experts" was a playful introduction, don’t take it to heart. As for the rest, yes, that music is by R. Strauss, and I am more than sure of it because I have the entire opera.

Anyway, the album is excellent.

Bohemian Rhapsody is a great piece. Sure, if I had to make a list of the most beautiful songs in the history of rock, I probably wouldn’t even place it in the top 30, let alone at number one! And how can it compete with "Little Wing," "Let It Be," "Comfortably Numb," "The Sound of Silence," "Nothing Else Matters," etc.? Even "Napule è" by Pino Daniele is better than Bohemian Rhapsody! The Queen are a bit underrated by critics, that's true! But they are also moooooooooooooolto overrated by the general public! Can't we find a middle ground?

Speaking of music experts... "Also Sprach Zarathustra," the soundtrack of Kubrick's film, is not by Wagner as Zarathustra claims, but by the German Richard Strauss (not to be confused with the Viennese Strauss!). As for the term: "undeniable musical talent" isn't that a bit excessive?

6- "When I hear them, I don't really think about anything, I no longer think about the problems that haunt me." This is precisely the purpose of their music, so we can say that in their own small way, they've achieved good results! Take that, those who think music has to be about social commitment or intellectual pretensions.
7- "Apart from 'Goin' Blind', the big ballad of the situation, they're all fantastic," eh?! "'Goin' Blind' is the best piece. The rest of the album was all stuff I'd already heard before back then, and it wasn't even that elaborate. For Kiss, I recommend 'Destroyer' or the latest one, 'Psychocircus', but not this one so much."
8- Write another one and don't worry if someone gets heated; sooner or later, you're definitely gonna have an argument here! I'll give you the highest score for encouragement! I liked the humility with which you presented yourself (a bit excessive, to be honest!) and the passion with which you tried to express your love for music. And your style is light and flowing.
9- The Hottest Band In The World...KISS!

1- Relax, the worst they can do to you here is to tell you to get lost! Doesn’t seem that serious to me.
2- The review is quite enjoyable to read; it's just a bit short, but other than that, everything is fine!
3- There are few reviews on Kiss because most people think they suck (hard rock lovers think they suck because of their excessive aesthetics, and non-fans think they suck because... well, they’re not fans of the genre!).
4- I grew up with them; I have tons of the band's albums, but now I'd prefer to have spent my money better. I was young and inexperienced! They're catchy, sure, but there are better options in the genre, that's for sure! And there are even better genres than this one!
5- The only empirical data that can be brought up in a review are the technical details that you're overlooking; emotions, feelings, and all those nice things are subjective and hard to communicate because they depend on various random factors that vary from individual to individual.
