Robbie Williams Life Thru A Lens
Voto:
Angels is beautiful, but I’ve never found it to be an exquisite and unreachable masterpiece. Not bad as a debut though, considering that no one believed in it. Great management choices for our Rob. Personally, I prefer "One of god's better people," but was that on this CD? I don’t remember anymore; I listened to it all one night in the night of times.

I think you can't judge a band just by their studio albums. I won't deny that Brian Harvey and his associates have produced something decent, but have you ever tried to see them live? Saying they’re terrible is actually putting it mildly. In that regard, I suggest you look up their live performance at the MTV EMA in 1994, when they "sang" "Thunder" and didn't even finish the performance because they were drowned out by boos. Harvey's missed notes became infamous in the live shows that year. Later, Brian himself admitted that he often relied on recorded vocals during live performances to support his poor singing abilities. Just for the record, in that same edition of the EMAs, the TT won the Best Live Act for the Nobody Else Tour, the first one without Robbie. That should make you understand a lot of things, right? Oh, one more thing: after years in oblivion, Brian Harvey tried to make a comeback in various ways—marrying a British starlet and then divorcing, making headlines for his difficult rehabilitation after struggling with heroin, attempting a musical career, and then ending up on Celebrity island in the UK. The last news I heard about him was that he was at risk of paralysis in his legs after a trivial car accident in his own garage. Well, after that, I’d say my thoughts are clear, right?!??!?!

Nice review, well done Giorgio. I'm not a fan of the genre, but for me, DPs mean "Around the world," and my friends and I film ourselves trying to imitate the little guys from the video at one of our friend's 18th birthday party. I'm voting for the memory!

Adriano... "Back for Good" is the 4th track of "Nobody Else" 1995, following this and also the 3rd track (if I'm not mistaken) of the self-celebratory yet useless greatest hits (the first and only case in history where vol 1 is identical to vol 2) from 1996 (vol 2 released in November 2005... embarrassing). And anyway, believe me, there’s much better (given their possibilities). "Back for Good" is disgustingly overexposed, the apotheosis of commercialism.

"Promises"....Take That and Party, 1992. Time has flown by! Amazing episode, 69. And thanks to everyone for your lovely comments, you've shown me that you are intelligent people who understand the purpose and spirit of this review. Honestly, I didn't expect it.

I also had FIFA World Cup 98 and I used to play it with the volume turned down (for obvious reasons). Then it got demagnetized or, I don’t know what happened to it, at one point it just wouldn’t start anymore... what a shame...!
