Really beautiful review, I discovered the Manics with this CD and I remember the shopkeeper's face when I tried to buy it (obviously he didn't know them and didn't have the CD). "Everlasting" is one of my anthems. Given the clueless shopkeeper, I never managed to go beyond the singles (which are stunning) but having listened to the greatest hits, I'm sure the whole thing is amazing. You reminded me that I need to fill this gap.

Articulated review, more like a music magazine and less like this goofy site that, fundamentally, it is. However, I can't help but compliment it because it says everything needed to appreciate an artist of Michael's caliber. I, as a fan of Giorgino (as I call him), love love love "Fastlove" (I was crazy about the stunning video on MTV, when he dances under the water, oh my God) and that masterpiece of great class "I would rather be alone than watch you spinning that wheel for me..." !!!!!

You could have been much more exhaustive regarding Silvestri's talent. "Aria" is, besides being my favorite, extraordinary in itself. Delicate and strong, with a harsh and intimate text... it's a pity you brushed it off in two scant words. I appreciate Silvestri as a brave and coherent songwriter, aside from a few questionable episodes where he sold out to the masses (but, as my friend Monica said, those were moments when he needed money because his child was born, so he shot "Salirò"). Great love for Puglia, a lot of genius, and a touch of chaos... but how ill-suited the "tormentone" label is for him...
