Well, I remember Giuliano at the Gorilla (formerly Candle) singing with a beer in hand while everyone else was getting high and barely noticed them... I can't see them singing "Habla pronto sin pensar que lo que dices puede hacer mal...." (my translation). Gemma, look, I think those abroad who believe Italian music is Bocelli, Pausini, Ramazzotti, and (horror of horrors) Nek don't deserve any of Giuliano's struggles at all. I just hope he never forgets those who were there at the Gorilla, at Madigans, and long ago at the first CocaCola live @ Mtv at the Cavallino quarries.

Gemma means "Guys, I carry you all in my heart," to say that Giuliano never fails to acknowledge his Salento roots, even though they are getting drunk on money and success. In fact, he never misses the chance to greet "all the people from Salento" at the beginning or end of every live performance. I hope he does the same here in Milan at the Cornetto FreeMusic Festival (which I will promptly review for you!) :-)

Great review and excellent album. I have also appreciated and followed them before the Brazilian vibes of the latest cd. Hemingway is a great gem, and without a doubt, the intro to "Non ci guarderemo indietro mai" is the closest thing to me that has ever been written by anyone.
