Preliminary consideration: those damn controversies with Poletti... Now let's see case by case: @captainhowdy: Of course I liked "Buffalo 66," but I knew it was good; I had seen it in the cinema. As for the other film by Vincent Gallo, I’ve never seen it. And you? If yes, how is it? @Iside: The noose thing is just a gag. "it's a struggle to invent when there was nothing before" ---> Ah, I’ll take note of that... @M. Poletti: I like your enthusiasm, but you went overboard. Lloyd was certainly not a trivial person, and I hope I made that clear in the review, but one thing is for sure: he wasn’t a giant... @bjorky: good morning to you too. @Supersoul: "but if this passes the convent..." ---> This review didn’t pass the convent; I approved it myself. "...I would like to see reviews of 'O Lucky Man' by Anderson, 'Alphabet City' by Amos Poe, 'The Devils' by Ken Russell, 'The Australian' by Skolimovski..." ---> and what can I say, write them yourself... @Melissa: Who knows, maybe yes. And in any case, after talking so much about Keaton and anticipating that we will talk a lot about Chaplin, I felt sorry that Lloyd was being overlooked, that’s all... Hi everyone.

I don't know Zarboris, I haven't read Polidori's tale, but I do remember the four (which was actually five, there was also Mary’s stepsister and Byron's lover) locked in a house telling each other ghost stories because it’s mentioned in an introductory note in the edition of Frankenstein I read some time ago... If I'm not mistaken, they also made a film about it...

If I'm not mistaken, when Polidori wrote "The Vampire" at Byron's house in Geneva, Mary Shelley, also a guest of Byron with her husband Percy Bysshe, invented Frankenstein...

I saw it a while ago, but I remember it being beautiful. In particular, the scene with the coffin... Speaking of Murnau's Nosferatu: I recall a detail from the vampire's "little house." A cuckoo clock from which, instead of the usual little bird, a monster or a skeleton came out, I can't quite remember... Anyway, something more suited to the Addams family than to the count...

What a pain, the cold. If you say inaccurate things, I think it's nice for someone to point them out, especially if the person who does it isn't condescending. On this page, it seems that no one called you an idiot for the "bullshit" you wrote... Anyway, do as you like. End of story. Bye.
Bill Frisell Music for the films of Buster Keaton High Sign / One Week

Just stopping by for a quick note: someone had the nice idea of posting "Go West" and "One week" on YouTube with the music of Bill Frisell. If anyone wants to take a look, the "Vol. 1" of "Go West" (the films are divided into clips or "volumes") can be found here: The "Vol. 1" of "One week" can be found here instead: Oh, the person who did all this work is Japanese. The subtitles of "Go West" are in both English and Japanese, while those of "One week" are only in Japanese... Well, you can't have it all... End of the note.
