Forgive the intrusion, but I think Iside is right. Baroni was a good singer but not a good songwriter. Frankly, I don't know how many songs he wrote and how many he had written by others; the fact is I can't remember a single title, a single verse, a single melody written by him... However, we all remember the titles of the singers mentioned by Iside... "Mestierante" isn't a bad word, you know... I recall once at Sanremo (the Sanremo of... I don't know what year, hosted by Raimondo Vianello), Herzigova (she was there too...) introduced Baroni, stated the title of the song he was about to perform and the names of the five authors of it... Vianello's comment: "What, five of you got together to make this thing?!?".
