@Giona: "I hope it's understood from the list provided above how much I love this singer" ---> I would say so. :-) So, what about those albums from Cow, the ones for the fortieth anniversary, how are they? I saw there are some unreleased tracks...

Oh, Giona, I wanted to ask you... Do you know what happened to Amanda Parsons? After "National Health," I lost track of her...

"Fusillo and Antonoi d'Este communicate in unknown languages." ---> Well, if you don't know Italian, it won't be my fault... Anyway, the next review will be in a reduced and simplified edition to cater to your limited mental capabilities. I promise.

Ah, Pip Pyle's wife must be the one from "... And Pamela looking elegant and writing prose. If anyone's in need of me I'm drowning in the bathroom"... I love the lyrics of Pyp Pile... Anyway, I haven't heard this one. "Missing pieces" is quite beautiful (Bruford on drums), even more beautiful, in my opinion, than the debut album. I guess this one isn't bad either...

Mmh... You catch me off guard. I listened to a bit of Miller on his website. He's good, but he does things quite far from what I listen to and enjoy... I haven't really explored Frisell much either, aside from the two albums with the soundtracks of Keaton's films. With Andy Summers, I'm stuck with the Police, and that sums it up... On the other hand, not to insist, I heard a beautiful album by Sylvain Luc titled "Ambre": there's a lovely version of "A child is born" by the great (and I emphasize GREAT!!!) Thad Jones...

"heartless monster" ---> Yeah, I like it!! :-) Anyway, I understood what you meant and, of course, I’m fine with everything; the only hitch was with the term "Scolastico" but I see we understood each other on that too. Thank you for the compliments (too kind!) and see you next time.

P.S. I just realize that my comment #10 is written a bit poorly… Just for the record… And, Carlo, at the risk of being boring, give Luc a listen... It’s worth it. Again, bye.

Carlo, I care about you, but Bireli "scholastic"?!? Come on. :-) I've only heard one album from the Rosenberg trio, and it seemed a bit anonymous to me. Who knows, maybe I wasn't having one of my best days... Perhaps I'll check it out. Back to Lagrene, I'll leave here the rather blunt judgment of a guy who knows a lot more about Jazz than I do: "Good but a bit flashy." There you go, I quite like the flashiness of Lagrene. :-) Bye.

Thank you for the welcome back, Antonio. Many indeed criticize Lagrene for his hyper-speed, and while it’s true that he is hyper-fast, I find that the musicality does not diminish in his solos, and I generally believe he is one of the most entertaining guitarists, in terms of creativity, among those I have heard. And this comes from someone who isn’t chasing "technique" at all costs, quite the opposite... Of course, it also depends on what one seeks in music. For example, I really enjoy his manouche albums (the early tributes to Django and the whole Gipsy Project series) and his standards albums, while the Fusion stuff feels a bit boring to me. In short, tastes differ. Anyway, I also recommend Luc to you: he’s someone to follow. Cheers.

Well, then you really need to feel the touch of Luc...
