Well Hal, first of all, welcome back... On "Dulce is Dulce and Amalia is Amalia," we completely agree. My response was a fan's reaction to the criticism that was initially directed at Pontes. Whether she is or isn't Amalia's heir doesn't matter; what counts is that she makes good music, and there’s plenty of that in her albums. Hello and once again, welcome back. :)

I almost forgot: while I quote Leòn, I stay out of the dispute with Zara. I'm friends with everyone. :)

I quote Leòn, both on the 883 and on Joy Division. I just thought you were younger. And anyway, as an old-timer, you’re quite spry :)

I'm sorry, Antonio, you raised a topic that catches me by surprise: "the union between Blegvad and Hodkingson": in what sense was it bizarre and compensatory? I don’t own "concerts," so if you could explain it to me better, you would do me a real favor. As far as I know, Anthony Moore left of his own accord right after "In praise..." while Blegvad was dismissed more or less at the same time. Are they also part of the lineup in "Concerts"? I agree with you that Slapp Happy didn’t just make pop songs: after all, "Desperate Straight" is mostly written by Blegvad and Moore, but "Sort of" and "Casablanca Moon," that is, the two albums written before meeting with Henry Cow (by the way, do you know "acnalbasac Noom," the first version of the album with Faust instead of Enrico Mucca?) I would say they are truly beautiful pop records.

Yes, maybe you are right. But you know, curiosity...

A thank you and a greeting to Festwca (oh hey, good to see you...) to Sfascia (diet? Why ever?) and (not at all) Stoopid. Pretazzo and Bardamù: you two who know the album: I noticed there's a version on the market with a bonus track: have you heard it? If so, how is it? Bye.

Oh, was it something that everyone knew? Well, in that case... And anyway, you never told me... And the question remains: "What the hell, etc., etc..." (let's be clear, it's just my curiosity. :-))

I haven't listened to this album, but I have Musicology and the album that came out immediately after with the "discarded" tracks from Musicology (I don't remember the title now) and it's not the crap that Primiballi describes. Of course, everyone is entitled to their opinion. :) But I would like to say something to you, Lesto Bang. The reasons you bring up to trash this album are the same that another user on Debaser uses, with whom I have already jokingly clashed regarding the work with which some music greats fill their more recent releases... The writing style is quite similar too. Moreover, that user has different nicknames... O.K., let's take a guess... Punisher, excuse me, what the hell do you need to disguise yourself as Lesto Bang to say the same things you say as Punisher? So you’re recycling yourself too...

Very nice review, the historical context, and the album itself (except for the line "Quando c'ho il mal di stomaco, ce l'ho io mica te o no?" but that's a detail...).
