I don’t know, Charlotte doesn't seem very edgy to me... I don’t know the Air, but Neil Hannon is really great. Finally, the song I heard isn’t bad, in fact, I’d say it’s quite nice. In short, you haven’t convinced me.

It doesn't attract me either...

Goodness, sir, I just noticed your de-reporting now. Please tell me if track number 11 is just a homonymous piece or a cover of "song to the siren" by Tim Buckley...

So Walter, I’ve already answered you about Mozart and the Faust. You and Pixelid clearly have some difficulties understanding my posts. Maybe I wrote them poorly… Anyway, you’re a musician, right? So you’re looking for fame. You say it would be interesting to get known through concerts because there’s only shit, shit, shit out there (that’s not true: for example, in Italy today we have one of the most vibrant jazz scenes in the world). So do it then, what are you waiting for? Maybe we’ll finally hear some news about your shocking performances. Or do you want the spotlight of Top of the Pops right away?

Pixelid, we’re not discussing why or how classical music sells or doesn’t sell. We’re having a specific conversation: walterstarman made a distinction: the music that sells is good and right, all the other music (i.e., the music that doesn’t sell) belongs to losers. From this perspective, comparisons can also be made with the choirs of the Alpine troops.

Pixelid, read my post again. I also talked about Accardo and Abbado. These two are alive today, not in the eighteenth century.

Pixelid, reread my post, you'll notice that I had anticipated your objection.

Furthermore, you say you have attracted attention: that's certainly true. But the other equation you make, Walterstarman = David Bowie or Freddy Mercury based on the shock you believe you've caused among the users of this site, similar to what you think a Bowie, a Jackson, or a Mercury has caused on their audience, is laughable. Here, you won't sell records and you won’t receive a dime every time someone opens your page. The people who talk to you think you're simply stupid. So, following your reasoning, since you won’t gain anything from it, why behave stupidly?

Dear Walterstarman, I think you’ve misunderstood this site a bit. You see, we’re talking about music here. Not about artists who have sold a lot. Or at most we’re talking about artists who have sold a lot solely by virtue of their music. By "talking" I mean talking well. You’re making the opposite equation. You say that singer so-and-so might have made beautiful music, but if he didn’t sell, he’s a failure. Now, take Mozart: as you might know (?), once he passed away, he was buried in a mass grave, not in Paris at the artists' cemetery like Jim Morrison. Do you really think Mozart was a failure? And don’t tell me that the eighteenth century is like the seventies and eighties. Abbado, Accardo, and others perform and record Mozart’s music today, and they don’t sell many of their records. What should we do? Send them to community centers?
