@davejongilmour: I don't even feel like having a chamomile tea. I repeat: if you listen, you understand. If you don't listen, you won't understand. But I think that even if you listen, you still won't get it. On the other hand, the first comment is yours. You listened but didn't understand. Just as I wanted to prove.

I don't need a few days, a coffee, or to explain anything to you. Just listen and understand. If you don't get it, that's your problem. I wrote this stuff fully aware that you would show up. Actually, how come you made me wait so long? More promptness next time, for crying out loud...

Well, the ending of "Sultans of Swing" confirms what I felt in the mp3s of "Run me down," "come together," and "Pride and joy." I was saying that it’s strange they made covers of Floyd because those songs don’t seem to offer much inspiration to virtuosos like them. Gilmour is a great guitarist, but the Bermuda guitarists seem to be from another planet... I also downloaded the long trailer of the concert DVD where they play Floyd, and in that little you can hear, I found a somewhat partial confirmation of this impression. Anyway, a really great recommendation...

GREAT!!! Nice also "La donna nuda," the Italianized version of "I want a new drug." Author: Elio e le storie tese.

I listened to some mp3s on their site. They're phenomenal. And I'm not a guitarist, Zanna. :) It's strange though, the choice to make an album with Pink Floyd covers. At least it seems that way to me...

True... Bjork actually sent me some mp4s and I couldn't even open them... Anyway, poet, don't bother. Maybe I'll look for something online...

Tiny Banks is right. You could play him some samples, Poet... this Cuban Griot song really intrigues me...

Perhaps not everyone knows that... The term "spamming" or "spam" (the sending of large quantities of unsolicited electronic messages, generally of a commercial nature) originates from a comedic sketch from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, set in a diner where every dish proposed by the waitress was based on "Spam" (a type of canned meat). As the sketch progresses, the waitress's insistence on offering dishes with "spam" ("eggs and spam, bacon and spam, sausages and spam," and so on) contrasts with the customer's reluctance toward this food, all building up to a chorus chanting for "spam" by some Vikings seated in the diner. (source: Wikipedia. Thanks $face$).

Well, in my opinion, rather than a false noir, it's a parody of a noir. But maybe you meant the same thing... The Dude advances in the investigation thanks to a mix of luck and bad luck (mostly bad luck). The scene of Donnie's "funeral" is beautiful, with Walter giving his speech about Vietnam and then scattering the ashes that instead of ending up in the ocean land all over the Dude ("WITH YOU, EVERYTHING BECOMES GROTESQUE!!"). Great movie!!!

Well, the poet at the end of this writing will respond if he wishes... As far as I'm concerned, the film in question does not address issues that we can comfortably disregard today... Therefore, revisiting it now or discussing it doesn't seem like a completely futile exercise to me...
