True, but I definitely consider the live with Fabrizio...

A magician? Do you really think someone named "fusillo" could be a magician? Come on... :) Go watch Dr. John's videos, Fenni: the doctor's recipe is truly special... I'm sure you'll like his gumbo too, I bet. :)

Be patient, Mp, and you too Nofake... Unfortunately, sometimes I tend to interpret posts in a rather rigid way.;-)

Many thanks to the kind commentators: @ghemison: Dr. John is by no means a "mainstream" character, but he’s not exactly a complete unknown either... To find him, I’ll give you a tip: sweetmusic.biz Make sure you find him before he finds you. :-) @Poetarainer: your comments always add something to the reviews. The comparison with Vinicio Capossela is spot on, at least for the modern reinterpretation of folk legends from their respective homelands. And the two voices aren’t so dissimilar either... the term "lysergic," then, for the doctor’s music, is certainly very fitting. Some say that the poison referenced in "Walk on gilded splinters" that I mentioned is LSD... @dantecruciani: YOU are great! :- ) @Kataklisma: I don’t know who David Toop is, but he must be a smart guy. :) And I’m not surprised that Mac's album is among the favorites of those in the know. He’s collaborated with everyone... @Bjork: you will love the doctor’s "gumbo," I’m sure of it. :) Hi everyone.

Excuse my clarification nofake: it depends on what MP means by "this": if by "this" he means the concert, then yes... If he means the performer, definitely no: the protagonist of "Shine" is named David Helfgott. I remember that back then, riding the wave of the film's success, he was made to hold many concerts. Despite the fact that he was literally unable to complete the performances (at least according to some reporters and critics) and behaved in a rather bizarre manner (but that can be accepted...), he received great applause every time... Today I don't know what he does... Nice review, by the way...

Oh, I don’t know the album but I recognize the cover; it’s a drawing by the great Alfons Mucha (http://www.littleprague.com/bits/MuchaPerfecta57.jpg). They can’t be copycats, can they, these HIM?

Whistles, what have you brought out of me... Back then, that chorus was heard everywhere...

Poet, you didn’t include samples, you included whole tracks… Just so you know, if Franca comes by she’ll give you an earful… If I were you, I’d ask the editors to remove them… Make sure to read the link "leggi come realizzarlo" that you find on the sample submission page… Just a reminder. :) Anyway, I have to confirm my first impression… Great musicians, great arrangements, but it doesn’t impress me… I think it’s a problem with the melodies but especially with the voice… I don’t know, there’s not enough “drama,” I don’t know if I’m making myself clear, it lacks interpretation… Then in certain “flourishes” it also seems a bit uncertain to me… Who knows… Maybe I’m just in a bad mood, what can I say. :)

Really interesting discussion: a small consideration: when you go to buy a blank CD or DVD, the price you pay includes a small percentage that goes to SIAE. Why? Because maybe you will put a disc/movie on that CD/DVD. Perhaps you'll put your photos, your works on it, but for SIAE, you are still a pirate... Might as well download/copy/burn, right? This also applies to cassette tapes and VHS... Then p2p wasn't illegal until a while ago. It became illegal thanks to the former minister Urbani. With all due respect, not exactly an intellectual... I haven't read the review... I'll read it another time... Now I have to run. Bye.
