"If we don't pay attention to the lyrics, everything seems too sweet!” ---> Damn, I totally fell for it... I swear I'll start considering the lyrics from tomorrow...

I have a very vague memory of him on TV with an old radio on his shoulder... The song... I dunno, who remembers it... The review is really bad. :-)

Punny, good job, but Tom Joad is the protagonist of "The Grapes of Wrath" by Steinbeck. Guthrie was inspired by him, and so was the boss. By the way, I like Guthrie more as a writer than as a singer. His autobiography "Bound for Glory" (translated into Italian as "Questa terra è la mia terra" from one of his songs) resembles "The Grapes of Wrath" quite a bit. Tom Joad was a "Hobo," meaning one of those laborers who, during the depression, migrated by any means from state to state in search of work. Guthrie followed those migratory waves as well; he stayed with those people, wrote and sang songs for them. I don't think "The House of the Rising Sun" is by Guthrie. On Bob Dylan's first album, it's listed as "Traditional." In my opinion, the best version is by the Animals. Bye Vecio. :-)

Come on Mauro, don't be like that. I'm hopeless, you should have figured that out by now. :-) And do you like the Pontes?

I don't know... As I said in the introduction, I don't remember them... I only recall a huge mess of notes and chords during the clash with Jelly Roll Morton... In general, though, I'm not a big fan of Ennio Morricone... To tell you, I absolutely adore Dulce Pontes. The only album of hers that I don't like is the one she did with Morricone...

No problem Mauro. :-) On the other hand, you are in good company. Take a look at the comments that many illustrious debaserani have left on this page. Grasshopper, Tinybanks, Saputello, and many others think exactly like you. Let's part ways as we met. You are sensitive and I need to get checked out. :-) Bye and take care.

Yes, I know that happypippo and GiovanniNatoli are the same person. I'm also aware of Happypippa, moanapozzi, and a few others that I can't remember right now. In fact, I was surprised by this "rekindled flame" for this review as well. But it is what it is... "Hate," so to speak, of course... On Caulfield, well, you’re not the only one. Hello. @reinhardt1053. I just reread my review and noticed that I never called Novecento a "loser." It seemed strange to me, actually... For me, "loser" has a positive connotation. To explain myself, my favorite song by Beck is precisely "loser." Do you remember it? "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me?". Novecento is not a loser. To lose, you have to put yourself out there. Novecento spends his whole life on his ship. He never takes a chance... Anyway, it's fine how I defined him earlier: an idiot. Hello to you too. And come back to see me, or else I'll be worried...
