King Crimson Three Of A Perfect Pair
Voto:
It is a pleasant album... the pop/experimental imprint is almost entirely due to Belew, to the point that at some points it really feels like listening to a usual Belew record rather than a King Crimson LP. Anyway, as I said, it's pretty good... definitely ahead of its time. For me, the title track and "Larks' Tongues In Aspic Part III" are masterful... a few instrumental parts on side 2 are somewhat underwhelming (forgivable, though).
King Crimson Discipline
Voto:
It's a masterpiece. A 5-star album... I don't think comparisons can be made with the previous works of the Crimson King, as the approach to music is very different. "Discipline" is one of the best albums (if not the best) of the '80s... the highest expression of the band post-"Red" and an album that, even when considering the entire KC discography, ranks very high. Highly recommended for anyone who still doesn't own it.
Jethro Tull Nightcap

Hats off for the review! I was able to read a ton of information that I would never have imagined. - As for the album... I think CD 2 is a bit weaker (but only in a few spots: it actually contains excellent tracks like, for example, "SeaLion II") compared to CD 1 (magnificent). Anyway, I can't bring myself to deny it a 5!

Very interesting: I really needed an opinion on this album... I'll get it as soon as possible!
Focus In And Out Of Focus
Voto:
Excellent review as always... I completely agree with the assessment of the debut album by Focus. - My favorites are "Focus (Instrumental)" and "House Of The King"... the latter seems to precede by a good seven years the sounds of the folk trilogy by Jethro Tull. Even the remaining tracks are of high quality. - However, the version I own has a different cover: dark purple with pink polka dots... with the word Focus at the top. Just out of curiosity, what would the original version be?
Paul Rodgers Now
Voto:
Well done, Shoot! A real love letter for Paul... it's clear that this character drives you crazy, huh?! - Unfortunately, I only know his career with the Free... I'll make sure to get hold of some of his regular work soon.
Peter Gabriel Plays Live
Voto:
An immense live performance... luckily I have the original double vinyl, since the remastered version is condensed to fit on a single CD (a disastrous choice!). Here we find Gabriel at the peak of his form, presenting tracks from "III" and "IV" while reinventing those from "I" and "II". Incredible "Humdrum" and "The Family And The Fishing Net"... but all the rest does not disappoint and, in fact, excites the listener. The unpublished "I Go Swimming" is nice - Mariaelena, however, "D.I.Y." is not unpublished: it’s the second track from "Peter Gabriel II" {I was surprised that a loyal fan like you didn’t leave a comment on the review of "PG II"... which, by the way, is mine... just to promote myself a bit :-) }
Deep Purple In Rock
Voto:
A historic and essential album. Although, to be honest, I've always preferred the Mark I... but nobody can take away the 5!
Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii
Voto:
Yes! A concert that gives you chills... nothing more to add!
The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet
Voto:
One of the best albums by the Stones... historic songs with an overwhelming vibe ("Sympathy For The Devil" is one of my all-time favorites). Simply an evergreen! 5 for sure...
