A review I loved for an excellent album... one of my favorites by the Doors. In my opinion, it definitely deserves the 5!

Unfortunately, yes. I would have preferred some new material on the setlist, perhaps a few throwbacks from the past, instead of the usual tracks. Of course, the "Old Medley" is (or rather WAS) a good idea to introduce the classic repertoire to newer fans... but that patchwork didn't really excite me much - As for Wilson... right after the "Calling All Stations" tour, he was let go. Some time ago, I downloaded one of his live performances (from around 2000) where he plays both songs from his band Stiltskin and those from Genesis (he even threw in a few solo tracks from both Gabriel and Collins every now and then). If you like his voice, you might enjoy it...

The lineup is the now-classic Banks/Collins/Rutherford... it is said (it’s pretty certain) that they will reproduce the setlist presented during the "We Can't Dance" tour. So decent, but nothing exceptional.

Yes, I was born in '86 just like my nickname says... and I have to completely agree with you. I discovered Genesis only 4/5 years ago... with "Invisible Touch," by the way. So things could only get better with all the subsequent albums I bought!

I completely agree with you: "An Island In The Darkness" is truly a gem! Too bad it’s on such a bland album like this one... - PS: come on, don’t be so hard on "Abacab": it has three or four good songs! You were right about "Acting Very Strange" though... it’s terrible (and it’s a shame because Rutherford's first release was excellent!)

A discreet album... I would place it on the same level as "Technical Ecstasy": that is to say, interesting ideas mixed with songs that are a bit too generic (but not at all despicable)... I find, for example, "Break Out" wonderful with all those horns backed by Iommi's magnificent guitar. "Johnny Blade" is great as well, especially in the initial keyboards. - A curiosity Axl... but wasn’t Geoff Nicholls on keyboards?
