Alice Cooper Muscle Of Love

At the moment, I’m hesitant to give a definitive rating, as I should listen to it carefully again. From what I remember, it hovers between 3 and 4 stars: a good album without a doubt... however, it didn't completely satisfy me, probably because it's sandwiched between two gems like "Billion Dollar Babies" and "Welcome To My Nightmare."

Good page: I'm glad there is someone who took the trouble to review the albums of this great band missing from the database. I enjoyed the review, similarly to the previous one on "Conquest": there are a few points I don't quite agree with (for example, I personally find "Abominog" an amazing album, as you might have noticed reading my old, and rather ugly, review... or the fact that "Wonderworld" has never convinced me 100%) but it's well done. And that's what matters. - As for the album: 3 and a half stars. A bit below "Abominog"... there are some occasional missteps, but there are also some pretty tough tracks: among them the stunning "The Other Side Of Midnight" which even today is often played in concerts. See you on your next review... I assume it will be on "Equator."

Very interesting. I only know them by reputation... precisely because of the existence of the 'new' Skid Row. They seem interesting: I'll try to give them a listen when I have the chance. Lovely page, as always... and a beautiful rediscovery!

I agree with the reviewer's rating: the album is not bad, but in my opinion, it's far from essential. Sloman is an excellent singer with an enviable vocal range... however, his style is not very consistent with that of Heep (the subsequent Peter Goalby may not have been a phenomenon when singing the band's 'classics', but on 'his' studio tracks, he was much more striking). "No Return," "Imagination," "Fools," and "Won't Have To Wait Too Long" are good reasons to listen to the album nonetheless... the rest can be overlooked. The various bonus tracks are much better (despite Hensley's absence, temporarily replaced by a certain Greg Dechert). - Great page: fast and enjoyable to read (comments included)... but King Crimson doesn't do psychedelic rock, you know!

I learned of his death only this morning... alas, another great artist has left us. Unfortunately, I know little about him (only the famous "Wild Frontiers"), but the artistic depth of this man is evident. - PS: Excellent page, as always!

@Joshua: thanks for the company. If I find it at a reasonable price in a store, I’ll get it... but I doubt it: it looks like I’ll have to resort to eBay for the umpteenth time!
