The first, and the best, of the synth phase of Rush... every song is a masterpiece. My favorites in particular are "Subdivisions," "The Analog Kid," and "The Weapon." It's amazing how these three Canadians churned out masterpiece after masterpiece from "2112" to "Grace Under Pressure," managing to evolve while staying true to themselves. - Quite a delirious review.

This review of yours almost slipped past me... good as always. The subject seems very intriguing!

Blessed are you who were there and had the chance to meet them (even if not all of them)... just one word: envy (a thousand, I would add)!!! Ahahah!

Listened to it... definitely a good album. The more intense tracks, such as "Swimmin' In Quicksand" and "Moonshine Sonata," are really rich and exciting. I find the more melodic and country-oriented songs a bit weaker, though. In the end, for me, it would be three and a half stars, but it seems right to round up here. - PS: the cover is really fun, showing them riding a sow haha!

Practically perfect... an absolutely wonderful album, and the 5 stars are quite reductive. One of the peaks (if not the absolute peak) of the Canadian trio: there isn't a single subpar song, not a single dull moment... it starts, continues, and finishes excellently. Now I won't even say which song would be the most beautiful, as they are all of superior quality.
Steve Howe The Grand Scheme Of Things

Good review, Doctor. I only know the first two solo works by Steve Howe, and they're not bad at all... particularly, among the two, the second self-titled one is really well done (astronomical "Pennants"). However, I haven't had the chance to listen to the one you've reviewed yet.

Another 5-star album from RUSH! All four tracks are simply stunning... in particular, "Cygnus X-1 Book 2" and the immeasurable instrumental "La Villa Strangiato" stand out fiercely. Incredible technique and great mastery of their instruments from the Canadian trio (never self-serving)... Lee, Lifeson, and Peart are fantastic as always!
