Thank you Fedezan... the utmost respect is mutual!

Nothing to add... maximum praise for both the review (well done!) and the live performance reviewed. Such a cornerstone that can easily compete (in fact, I honestly like it even more) with the celebrated "Made In Japan"! Hats off to the Heep...

Great live performance, which gloriously wraps up the first period of Kansas... all the band's classics are present (it can almost be considered a 'greatest hits' live) and are played with the great skill and class typical of the band - Excellent review that well represents the essence of this "Two For The Show" and what it is able to communicate to the listener.

Great review... I'll give it a listen when I get the chance!

I had the chance to listen to the title track on YouTube and it's not bad at all... if the rest is at the same level, it could be an album worth considering (especially given the positive ratings I see above) - @Bleachtrommel: "Phaedra" is absolutely worth it. It's a great piece of the album and I highly recommend it, as long as you like the genre, of course. "Rubycon" is also worth a listen, although, personally, it engages me slightly less.
Gracious! This Is... Gracious!

Very interesting proposal... I know their first self-titled album, and it's not bad at all. If this is a step up for them, then it must be a truly worthy record. - Good review: just the right length and well-targeted... it widely stimulates curiosity. I will try to give it a listen as soon as possible!

No, nothing... to date: <<In 1987, this album was remixed for CD release. The full album is currently unavailable on CD in its original mix. Tracks "Francine" and "Just Got Paid" are available in their original versions on the CD release of ZZ Top's Greatest Hits. All tracks except "Mushmouth Shoutin'," "Apologies to Pearly," and "Down Brownie" are available in their original mix on 2003's Chrome, Smoke & BBQ boxset.>>

I had missed this review... ZZ Top are amazing: tough, solid, and genuine music. We need more bands like this! I fully agree with your analysis of the album (as you rightly point out, "Sure Got Cold After The Rain Fell" is worth the price of the record by itself). 4 stars because, in my opinion, the debut and the subsequent "Tres Hombres" are slightly superior. - PS: has the 'restored' version with the original mixing already come out, or is there still only the one from the "SixPack" on CD? Honestly, I'm now used to listening to it full of digital echoes and reverbs (and I don't pay much attention to it anymore)... but the original mixing must be a delight from what little I've been able to find!

I only have one CD from this group that contains both "Rockin' Into The Night" and "Wild-Eyed Southern Boys" (the first one's nice, the second one's very good). It could be interesting to give it a listen...
