Pink Floyd Live in Paris Theatre London 3 October 1971 - Secrets

I have the vinyl version (2 LP) of this bootleg. I bought it in '94, I believe (back then I was only eight years old, and I had only listened to "The Dark Side Of The Moon" and the just-released "The Division Bell")... and I was pleasantly surprised by those eleven tracks of which I didn't know a note! Anyway, in short: an amazing concert! Moreover, for a bootleg, the recording quality is generally quite good. Looking back after 16 years, I can say with certainty that that purchase, which was almost random at the time, has been a complete success!

I just listened on YouTube to "Raise The Level Of Your Conscious Mind" and "What Can A Friend Say?"... just one word: wonderful. They've already gotten into my head. I'm grabbing this record on the fly! - Thank you for the valuable recommendation, made with an excellent (as always) review.

I honestly don't know the debut of ELO very well... I've only listened to "10538 Overture" (and, to be honest, I don't mind it. Anyway, if you tell me the rest is better, then I need to give it a listen!). I'll catch up as soon as possible!

Great review PierPaolo, as usual... the album is not bad, although it's a bit confusing: it's not clear which direction the Orchestra wants to take (as a transitional album, I prefer the next one, "On The Third Day"). In any case, the cover of "Roll Over Beethoven" is definitely original and well done. Excellent, musically, is "In Old England Town"... it's a shame that Lynne's voice here seems unable to 'marry' the song itself properly.

Greetings to you, Antonio... yes, it has indeed been a while since we last touched base! PS: another (just as valid) review of this album has come out. If you get a chance, take a look at that too... - In the meantime, I’m leaving the rating for the album: 4 stars and 1/2.

Welcome back, Anderson... great review, it feels almost like a deep dive compared to the one written by Meco a few days ago. - I finally listened to the album carefully and I can confidently say that it’s truly a great record (4 and 1/2 stars). It's incredible how Hackett has been constantly inspired for over ten years now (since "Darktown," 1999)... since that moment, he hasn't missed a beat!

I listened to the album briefly some time ago and, frankly, I don't remember it well enough to give it a rating. However, in my opinion, tracks like "Star Cycle" and "The Pump" are definitely must-haves (and worth appreciating)!

For me, it's a five-star album, 'no ifs or buts'...

This former bootleg, now official, must be really interesting... great heads-up. Honestly, it's been a while since The Doors have lost (partially) their appeal to me: it might be a good opportunity to rekindle my interest!
