Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here

I also confess that the Floyd have worn me out a bit, but I admit they were the band that opened many sensory pathways for me and gave me countless emotions (I was 14, and I guarded all the Floyd's vinyls jealously while my classmates looked at me like I was from Mars). When Gilmour's solo kicks in in Shine... well, one of the most thrilling guitar intros in the history of rock. A sufficient review, but I would reward the effort of having put out such an album.

I approve the review, I agree that the album is a pointless exercise by capable rockers who could have used their brains as well as their muscles. What a shame, a missed opportunity. And then Chris Cornell has become tiring. In his pitiful albums, he was just imitating his friend Jeff Buckley, and even then it was pathetic. And listening to Temple of the Dog again, how much does he scream????

What an album, so many memories. Take me home tonight... you were driving around with a friend and home, no, you didn't want to go home because your dad would lecture you and there was school and blah, blah, blah. And we drove around in the car while Morrissey sang from the stereo and it felt like he understood everything. And if a double-decker bus crashing into us to die by your side... what better way to die beside the person you care about most... and screw everything else. For me, that album meant so much..
