Procol Harum Procol Harum
Voto:
It's the debut album by Procol Harum, and as a debut, it's not bad at all. There's "A Whiter Shade of Pale," and that's a good thing; then there's "Conquistador," and that's a bad thing. However, "Homburg" has rightly made its mark as well. But Procol Harum, hear this, have actually done better: "A Salty Dog" (1969) is a whole other beauty. Marco Poletti Dixit.
Angelo Branduardi Gulliver, la luna e altri disegni
Voto:
Nice tip Grasshopper: but a 5 is frankly too much. "La luna," "Gulliver" are beautiful, but every now and then, something gets stuck, and Branduardi, just to change things up, tends to exaggerate. Anyway, worth (re)listening to. Marco Poletti Dixit.
Angelo Branduardi Cogli La Prima Mela
Voto:
Well, in short: aside from "Grab the first apple," (and the subsequent mega concert in Paris: 200,000 people in attendance) there’s nothing particularly thrilling. A somewhat formulaic Branduardi, at times even a bit dull. Great success, little substance. Marco Poletti Dixit.
Angelo Branduardi Branduardi canta Yeats
Voto:
An extremely interesting avant-garde album. It's not a masterpiece (the ending is what it is), but listening to Yeats sung by Branduardi is always a pleasure. An angel divided between De Andrè and Edgar Lee Masters: after all, not trivial at all. Marco Poletti Dixit.

An uncertain album, caught between folk sounds and Celtic-Italian atmospheres. It’s not a peak, just a decent debut record. Marco Poletti Dixit.
Francesco de Gregori Viva l'Italia
Voto:
Wake up, please: this album is not a masterpiece, it's a half-baked flop that turned out pretty poorly. There's "Viva l'Italia," okay, (and it's not even that great), and then what is there? Or maybe "Buenos Aires" seems like a masterpiece to you? I don't know. Marco Poletti Dixit.
Francesco De Gregori Titanic
Voto:
It's a masterpiece. Perhaps less striking than "Buffalo Bill," but nonetheless very solid and, at times, even nostalgic. All the tracks are top-notch, and De Gregori sings brilliantly (which doesn’t happen too often). Marco Poletti Dixit.
Francesco De Gregori Terra Di Nessuno
Voto:
De Gregori in a state of (almost) grace. Frequent marvels in the lyrics, good instrumental insights. There's a lack of courage, but perhaps I'm asking for too much. Marco Poletti Dixit.
Francesco De Gregori Pezzi
Voto:
Finally, after so long since 1987, here comes a brave and well-structured album, worthy of the best De Gregori ever. Of course, there's "Pezzi," a very commercial track bordering on jarring, but there are the incandescent atmospheres of "Gambadilegno a Parigi" and the concealed sadness of "Il vestito del violinista." Everything is very beautiful, the best De Gregori of the last fifteen years. Marco Poletti Dixit.

Masterpiece blurred. Only the extremely angry "Bambini venite parvulos" is saved. The rest goes a bit zigzag. Marco Poletti Dixit.
