After two masterpieces like "Ok Computer" and "Kid A," it’s hard to replicate that success. Radiohead come close to the miraculous: successful and daring tracks like "Like Spinning Plates" and "Knives Out" contrast with a couple of slightly underwhelming pieces (most notably the finale, "Life in a Glasshouse," which feels a bit self-indulgent), but they are certainly more skilled and courageous than many of their contemporaries. And anyway, it’s an album that deserves respect.

Whiny? Slop? A masterpiece, at best. I'm with the Punisher...

But excuse me, instead of singing "I won't fall again," couldn't she write a nice self-celebratory song titled "I won't sing anymore" and just end it there forever?

Dexster, I fully agree. This is the most rock (commercial rock, mind you) sound we've heard in recent years. Growing up on a diet of Nirvana and Pearl Jam (by their own admission), Verdena make a fantastic debut with a tender and captivating album, powerful and fierce. It's a shame they then eased off their rock energy a bit and started to repeat themselves a little too much.

The most pretentious progressive? And which would that be? Power Drift, I never claimed to be a God; I simply write reviews (whether people like them or not) and give ratings based on my tastes, even if that means giving a 1 to a Queen album and a 5 to a Ligabue one. But here, the one trying to be a know-it-all isn’t me; it’s others: those who say that legendary artists must always be given the highest scores (not considering that maybe they’ve also made a few mistakes), while mediocre singers (Ligabue, for example) must always be given a 1, failing to understand that perhaps, just once, they have done something good. But not everyone likes to reason this way, and that's why I get 1s. In fact, when I reviewed the Beatles and Elvis (just to name a couple), the 5s came pouring in. Do you understand the reasoning? Crap, for many here, is always crap: but wasn’t it De Andrè who said "nothing comes from diamonds, flowers come from manure"?

Poletti's Review = Shit Review. Shakespeare spoke, the one that when I write, they shoot me a 1 like it's nothing...
