I don't like super long reviews, but this one flows really well, maybe a bit too track by track, but really well done.. no bullshit pretazzo.. everything is well executed.

My review is more of a venting session than anything else, as I enumerate all those who appreciate it and have incessantly given it 9s in magazines and webzines these past few months... well...

these huge pieces of shit have churned out a lengthy pile of crap, with absolutely nothing to make you jump out of your seat. They took thrash, tossed in some melodies (!), choirs (!!), and fading effects at the end of the songs..great..and this is the album of the year?? that changes the game for a metal scene that is evolving? but where???? what the hell is innovative about it?? Machine Head, with their technical prowess and business acumen, always manage to release the right album amidst every passing trend.. I'll go see them live and they'll destroy everything.. but their album is superfluous.. from every point of view.

Aside from the grammatical errors, aside from certain useless ramblings, the review (illegible) praises a terrible album that is somewhat saved by a few tracks (gimme the mic above all) and Mark Smith... the one who brought a breath of fresh air to their sound but won't sell enough and will be kicked out to make way for Borland... that said, I wanted to respond to those who say << <Nu-metal has become boring, sure (but very few say the same about the excessively random and unbearable developments of post-rock, which still elegantly dribble over the contemporary music market)>>... it must be said that while those who revive certain sounds today come off as utterly ridiculous in the way they do it (see Kuadra, Mellowtoy, and other nonsense)... simply because technically GNU isn't that difficult... in the mix of post/metal/hardcore/rock clones, there are those who know their stuff with technical skill and make it all enjoyable... to the good peace of those (like me) who grew up with GNU or certain pathetic nostalgic (nu-metal... bleh what a crappy word though... oh well, it identifies :D)
