The Beatles Strawberry Fields Forever / Penny Lane

Both "Penny Lane" and "Strawberry Fields Forever" are two frescoes of extraordinary visual and emotional concreteness. It seems to me that Harrison also composed a track for that never-made album, perhaps "Blu Jay Way," but I'm not sure... it was meant to be a work focused on the places and memories of the four. McCartney in "Penny Lane" showcases all his talent as an observer of everyday life; ten years later he will describe London in "London Town" in very few verses but in an exemplary way.

"Cage" is a clear example of a very blatant misjudgment by Paul; it's a beautiful track, the leading single that "Back To The Egg" lacks. I want him to release something from that early period live, because he recorded all those concerts..

There is an incredible “secret” production by McCartney from '67 to today. There are people who have nothing in the drawer and have used everything good and bad that they've produced (Genesis, for example, have released everything, absolutely everything). In McCartney's case, however, there are masterpieces and ideas that have remained outside because Paul has the flaw of not being able to evaluate his own work. In '73, he was set on creating a film with the Wings interacting with animated characters; he made it but never released it, and today it lies alongside many other things in his archives...

"The McCartney Years," 3 DVDs. 2 dedicated to videos from '70 to '05, but it's not the complete videography as some footage is missing; however, all the most famous ones are included, and many are commented on by Paul. The 3rd disc contains live material, a beautiful and clear extract from "Rockshow" by Wings, the unplugged session from '91 at MTV, and much more. The animated menus also feature incredible gems, footage from "One Hand Clapping," a performance of "Wild Life" from '72, the rehearsals for the '76 tour with Paul explaining to Howie Casey how to play the sax solo in "Bluebird." Keep in mind this is just a small part of Paul’s secret material... you can't even imagine what this man has in his drawer.

This is a collector's item. I had written the review of "Live And Let Die," but a blackout wiped it out; sooner or later I'll rewrite it because in just a few minutes in this track, Macca builds an incredible mini symphony.

Here’s the perfect example of how to throw your talent down the drain for a bit of extra cash.

"Helen Wheels" is an English rendition of the American road song. McCartney describes it very well in the recently released video collection.

It's no longer the debaser it used to be; too many people circulate who think they're clever by writing some idiotic or unnecessary comment. I think I'm going to focus only on cinema from now on; at least in this section, there are those who appreciate the efforts to review something different and bring to light something that's now forgotten.
