King Crimson Starless and Bible Black

1) Salzano, that album exists. It's called The Nightwatch and contains the unedited versions of many tracks from Starless and Bible Black. 2) But what a shame, no one has remembered that the title is taken from the opening of Under the Milk Wood by Dylan Thomas. And that the whole album feels a bit like the soundtrack of a sweet and visionary play by Thomas.

Damn, I thought nobody knew him on de-baser!!! In my humble opinion, the music and voice (I have the first 4 albums) of Scott Walker is among the most lyrical listening experiences one can have. In particular, as a sample for those who don't know him, I recommend going to listen to:
Scott 3 - Big Louise, Two Ragged Soldiers
Scott - Montague Terrace in Blue
Scott 2 - The Bridge, The windows of the world (Bacharach cover)
Scott 4 - The angels of ashes

Thanks to Hal and Primiballi for the advice and information. Regarding Benigni, Primiballi, I don't understand what problems you see in the friendship between the two. I don't remember where I read a statement by Mark Linkous (I think it was on the official Sparklehorse website) where he claimed that one of the happiest days of his life was when he met Roberto Benigni. Well, to tell you the truth, at that moment I felt a little prouder to be Italian. Speaking of La Tigre e la Neve, have you seen it? What do you think? At first, it seemed to me to be too minimal a film, overly delicate. But then, thinking back on it, I had a strong desire to watch it again. On reflection, there are some really lovely ideas in this film, and it takes a certain courage to make a film about two things as fragile as poetry and love. And then there's that scene of him, the poet and friend of poets, loaded with medicine and mistaken by the military for a kamikaze; thinking back on it, it's extraordinary.

I have already made this request. Can someone tell me where I can find the Tom Waits piece from La Tigre e la Neve by Benigni online??? Even just to listen to it...

With De Andrè, it doesn't seem like there are any connections, maybe apart from the youthful love for whisky. An amazing album. I thought it was the bravest one before I listened to Real Gone...

Voiceface, Meedle, like Obscured, is for me a very pop album (limited, however, by the fact that it is a PF album) and has, in my very humble opinion, two or three absolute peaks, just like this album. It's just that I find Obscured to be more sincere, direct, and it can convey all its melancholy to me while Meedle essentially transmits serenity (Pillow of Wind in particular).

Honestly, I think Dylan Thomas's quote is the best part of the review, and I say this not out of snobbish self-criticism... Dylan Thomas is a great poet who has influenced, in my opinion, various musicians (King Crimson, Beatles, etc.), poet-singer-songwriters (F. De André, Tom Waits), and writers (Baricco). For example, in Under The Milk Wood, there are many themes, some well-known (the prayers of Reverend Jenkins remind me too much of the prayers of Father "I can't remember the name" in Oceano Mare by Baricco) and some still not recognized. I hope this review sparks a bit of curiosity in those who are not already familiar with his work.

Perhaps a bit insignificant and filled with fillers, but I need to listen to it again. For now, better Obscured By Clouds, which many consider to be inferior.
