Edoardo Bennato La fantastica storia del pifferaio magico

Wow, I hadn't read the review yet. It's really very, very beautiful and heartfelt, just the way I like it. Great!

I almost fully agree with primiballi. For me, he was an idol, one of those for whom I love music so much. Many years ago, I bought a harmonica and fashioned a sturdy support out of a piece of iron to hold it in front of my mouth and play it his way. I admired him greatly when he had the courage to call the police chief of Taranto an asshole during one of his concerts at the stadium (back in the days of Sono Solo Canzonette), resulting in him spending a night in jail. Then, perhaps at some point, he no longer felt free and became too much of a slave to what had perhaps become his persona, even if it was loved by the audience (in the way of the Suonatore Jones of DeAndreiana memory). So he tossed kazoo and rage to the wind. However, he could have transformed his anger into something better than shouting affectionately Viva la Mamma (in Italy, it’s clear and obvious that you should love mothers…). Nevertheless, sometimes I think that the way it ended up for him is a result of his naïveté (he was also naïve when he thought and sang his songs from the 70s) and not cunningness. Or perhaps of his personal misadventures (I remember that in a matter of months, he lost his mother and his fiancée, the latter, if I’m not mistaken, tragically).

"Flight" is magnificent, perhaps a bit forced in some parts, but nonetheless extraordinary. As for Hammil being overrated, well!!!
Maximilian Hecker I'll Be A Virgin, I'll Be A Mountain

Disappointing. He tried to lighten the dramatic nature of his music (was it sincere?) with disappointing results. Much, much, much better is Lady Sleep.

In particular, try to get your hands on "The Harald." Listening to this piece is, in my humble opinion, a traumatic experience (beware, it’s a sweet, archaic, and lovesome music, and for this reason, even more unsettling). Cheers again!

Guys, I was just kidding!!! Anyway, for those of you who love this type of music, I strongly recommend First Utterance by Comus. They’re not a Black Metal band, but you might enjoy them, even though the themes are darker in content than in the titles of the tracks. Bye!

Speechless. Tell the truth, you made up this album and this band (it can't be otherwise considering those band names and song titles). Maybe in a moment of great depression and anger against the world. I would love to do something similar in the style of Borges' illusory works. I'll give it a try. Anyway, if it is so good, then great, if not...
