As Pietrangelo Buttafuoco wrote in Repubblica on 12/06/07, the Finley should be considered among the representatives of ideological decadentism of the Johnstonian school. Their works should be framed within the "spirit of the time" (Zeigeist) and, as Jung once said regarding the emergence of new cultural movements in early 20th century Germany, the only possible thing to say is: "Guys, go to work!!"

I was a bit brusque, but I'm just trying to make my nonsense (at least that's how it seems to you) original rather than grand, overused gems of intelligence and second-hand musical culture (at least that’s the impression you give me).
