THE REVIEW

I'm here to write, as my first review, about the second (and extremely boring) album by Finley, "Adrenalina"...

A very boring, monotonous, and repetitive album starting from the Title Track (track number 2): it sounds like a very "peterpunkish" song, both for the chord riff and for the very "oi!" chorus. "C'è qualcosa che non va" sounds like an overused song by everyone, both in its structure and in its chord progressions and vocal melody. The song that surprised me the most was track number 5: "Qui per voi"... It's identical to another of their crappy...song from the previous album in structure and chords ("fumo e cenere"), a totally insignificant text and again the "peterpunkish" theme comes back (the thanks to the fans, "grazie a tutti" penultimate track of "XI").

"Veleno" tries to slightly break the monotony with a slightly electronic start but the rest of the song, and I'm repeating myself, is already heard. "Questo sono io" always brings the same problems, monotony, and already listened melodies. Track number 10, "Voglio" apart from always using the classic 4 chords (E, C, G, D) but it monstrously resembles "Fat Lip" by "Sum 41". The last 2 tracks are in English but don't add anything to what has already been said, nothing new, especially "Lies are all around" which is ripped off from a piece but at the moment I can't recall which one and seeing how they tend to follow trends it wouldn't surprise me if the next album (although I hope they never make it) sounds Emo...

I want to conclude by telling Mr. Cecchetto that there are other ways to make money... like working in a mine.

Finley

Finley are an Italian band described in reviews as a four-piece associated with the early-2000s pop-punk/"HardPop" wave. Reviewers mention their start in Legnano, wider attention after contact with Claudio Cecchetto, and mainstream exposure via MTV/TRL and touring.
