Dear donjunio, who could have listened to him if not me, who bears the name???? PS. Well, it seems to me that for many of those involved in this discussion, Steven Drozd is a jerk who has ruined the Flaming Lips. NOOOOOO, I completely disagree...

YAYYYYYYYYYY, FLAMING LIPS EVERY DAY ON DEBASER!!!!! PS. I'm reading a book a friend just gave me about them (all in English, unfortunately): "Staring at Sound - The True Story of Oklahoma's Fabulous FLAMING LIPS". Full of interesting stuff and truly "enlightening" about the greatness of this band (which includes famous fans like Paul McCartney, Rolling Stones, Devo, Radiohead, etc. I highly recommend it).

A splendid sunny day, a child, a Sunday in the early 70s. Then suddenly ... the anger, the hate, forever, screamed in a song.

@Olè, should I suggest my idea to the staff, or was it enough to talk about it with you? PS. If things continue like this, I'm afraid that Debaser may not have a great future, at least not the one that many hoped for (myself included) a while ago.

In short, to be clear, I would say that Debaser should publish less frequently but with more attention.
In particular, it doesn’t seem fair (AND VERY DAMAGING FOR DEBASER) that certain excellent reviews (like this one from Supersoul) quickly end up forgotten (and out of the attention of a casual browser) just because the editors, RIGHTLY, given the excessive/high frequency with which reviews (often mediocre) arrive at Debaser, don’t have the time to read them carefully and understand which ones are truly valuable.
And for this reason, they are forced to:
1) Often judge all reviews the same way
2) Publish as selections from the EDITORS only those few good reviews that happen to have arrived at Debaser on a day when there was an Editor with a little more time available to appreciate their value.
My proposal includes:
1) Publishing only once a week on a day known to all users
2) Each week, analyzing for publication only the (for example) latest 40 reviews received
The effect of all this would also be to discourage those jokers who, not knowing what the hell to do with their day, send in reviews as if they were aiming at a target.
Finally, to sum up, it’s about avoiding other means to thank the Editors for the great work they do, but simply letting them work with LESS FRENZY.
What do you think?

@OleEinar, well you’re right, but only up to a point. It would work if there were a "USER CHOICES" link on the home page (similar to the "EDITOR'S CHOICES" one) from which to access a general list of all the reviews most liked by all users, for example in the last two weeks. But that link DOES NOT EXIST.

Damn, what a great reception! Can we add a "USER CHOICES" section in addition to the existing "CHOICES (which I assume includes the writings) FROM THE EDITORS"? Also, I imagine that with the latest updates, we'll clearly need to add a "WRITINGS BY USERS" section. PS I hope the democratic spirit of debaser won’t take it the wrong way and will consider my proposal, which comes from my "affection" for debaser itself.
