The Jim Carroll Band Catholic Boy
Voto:
Highly recommended are Jim Carroll's two diaries: "The Basketball Diaries," translated as "Jim enters the basketball court," and then adapted into the film "Ritorno dal nulla," followed by the subsequent "Jim cambia strada." Especially the first one is one of the most enjoyable reads I have ever come across.

Wow! No, clusters! Jests and retorts, but where did you find these? I will comply.

What a beautiful page indeed, and short enough to make you want to read it. I will go looking for Nono.

Beautiful review, a duplicate is judged not so much by the title but by the approach, so this is not a duplicate. But have you seen the film then? I saw it in the original version, I found it very well made but vaguely aseptic, and culpably lacking in references to the texts of Ian Curtis, and in general not very "lyrical." I also adore 24hours.

Grandi Malatja, I voted for them in a rock contest back in the days of "Tien' o' tif!". But 5 stars seem excessive to me, and to be honest, the English or American underground has offered stuff of a whole other level. Too little mainstream to become famous, too little skilled to be a legend of the underground. But that's alright, as the wise man said.

It doesn't seem strange to me that this review is so little visited. I actually find it completely normal that it’s 15-20 times less visited than those on Death Magnetic. It really does seem like everything is coming to an end. That's why cinema is indispensable for us. The review is remarkable, and comment n°3 is impressive; I'll make it a point to take the invitation. Just one thing about the favelas: far from venturing into sociodemographic issues, they seem to me (especially those in Rio, given the geographic context) to be one of the most fascinating and moving spectacles on the planet. I invite Googleearthists to focus on the favela of Rocinha, a micromegalopolis of misery besieged by wealthy neighborhoods. Bum.

But yes, just one verse of Sober is enough to outshine all the intellectual entanglements of 10,000 Days, an absolute bluff for the consumption of the dreamtheaterian people.

Actually, I’ll say something else. Following Undertow will be the masterpiece Aenema, 1996, one of the best rock albums of the past century. After that, with Lateralus, things start to dip a little. But don’t talk to me about 10,000 Days, a deeply pointless album where you need a strong stomach just to buy the record.
