What lavish seriousness! I take the liberty of getting excited in my own way, defying Punitive Interventions. Brr.

Everything seems right to me, but I don't share the view that the last Zawinul lacks creativity; what fascinates me is his abandoning the conventions and allowing himself to be influenced by more tribal sounds. And the fact that at 73 years old he’s still out there performing, always leaving the audience in stunned silence (those who narrate his concerts seem to always come from another world), well gentlemen, we are truly in the upper echelons. That said, Zawinul should be listened to in full, little by little, perhaps borrowing the albums one by one from Symbad.

Well, maybe you can find the classic Zawinul in Weather Report, but also in his earlier collaborations; however, it seems to me that the only classic aspect of his evolution is experimentation and boldness. If by classic we mean the most listened to and universally loved, then I reiterate, Weather Report from the Pastorius era.
