THE BLACK SOUND and the Violin

Four years after the last album... "The Spell"

Music that knows how to be desolate and sad, but also incandescent and luminous, a cinematic and ashy cabaret, depicting a ghost town in its enchanting and almost gothic dimness.

Jenkins crafts misty melodies interwoven with love, shifts the clock hands and daylight towards night, darkness reigns, emotions are hidden, by necessity, but the purple brightness of the sky stands out on the horizon, offering feelings of great intensity, a dark road leading to pleasure, confusion, and beauty. A return to the minimalist tones of their early albums, threatening and dark songs that introduce optimism and positivism into the night, a desperate and macabre return staining a clear and merciful sky.

An unhurried album that refreshes and dazzles, fascinates, piano and guitars, violin, entangle with melancholic and distressing lyrics that paint the reality of our cities, vivid and oppressive, the theater we live every day, the story we face naively and unknowingly, our disfigured soul naturally flows onto a canvas of colors worthy of Cezanne, a dynamic and natural flow that fills our lungs with smoke and clear air that burn together, clean air and smog bring us to the midnight of thoughts, into the introspection of thoughts and tensions that characterize the emotions and the sense of our life, where black and white alternate like in a boring and cold movie, almost excessive, in its fantastic misery, when its simplicity reveals the wonder.

The simplicity and symmetry of this album lead to a sensory anesthesia that makes us recognize the right breaking point between beauty and ugliness, this album is the right companion that accompanies us on the journey we have decided to take, light or darkness, pleasure or pain, the road is open, despair is close to wonder, poisoned poetry is the poignant lover, but excitement leads us to tolerance and joy that soften and smooth the path, the procession of the black heart shows us the perfect journey, San Diego is near, misty and sunny, the reverberation of the soul is the barbed wire of our heart.

"Thank you, because it is wonderful to have a little light that glows so much, even from afar.."
