Lino Cavacciulo has been recommended to me for ages, but I can't find him on eMule. Teresa, sorry doctor j for your animal comments on your other review: after all, he’s from Bracciano, what can you do? As for rebelde, he’s half Leninist, so he shouldn't be taken seriously. Regarding you, I've noticed you listen to Einaudi and Giovanni Sollima, two excellent musicians. If you like that kind of instrumental music, I recommend the album "The Piano" (soundtrack of the movie "The Piano Lesson", which is beautiful as well) by Michael Nyman... truly a masterpiece of minimalism, even though the album depresses me :-) Bye!

Luca, I don't agree. The fact that they are derivatives (THEY ALL ARE DERIVATIVES THESE DAYS!) doesn't mean they aren't original. Come on, find me another group that started with psychedelia, then moved to electronics, then to psychedelic-ambient Pink Floyd-influenced rock sprinkled with electronics (like coffee), and then came out with a pop album (still psychedelic) and then a progressive metal album. Moreover, Wilson has numerous side projects, including a dark pop band, an ambient one, an orchestral pop band, and a jazz band. Plus, he is a multi-instrumentalist. Then, to each his own, but you really can't deny the originality: sure, he didn't invent a new genre, but then again, who does that these days? You can't really compare them to Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Rush, etc., but still, they have their own sound and personality (I mean the PT). Furthermore, he has increasingly moved away from the less original Pink Floyd sounds of the beginning; and anyway, even if it's "not original," it remains music played excellently and of great quality. If you say this about the Porcupine Tree, I can't imagine what you'll say about Dream Theater! :-))))

I believe that Deep Purple have been playing for about 50 years. You must have listened to someone else because Deep Purple are the best of the best when it comes to instrumental technique. Electric guitar, drums, etc... And any music critic can confirm this (even though that doesn’t always mean much), but also any (I hope) user of Debaser (even though that doesn’t always mean much either). More than anything, I'd say that the history of rock can confirm this!!! :-). "Not Now" and "Down" are songs that I find rather ridiculous, commercial punk-pop for MTV eleven-year-olds. In short, they copy, crib and clone the great punk bands (the ones that invented punk): Ramones, Sex Pistols... Essentially, they have simply melodized, banalized, and commercialized punk, so that even kids could understand it. A bit like Green Day, I’d say. Well, taste is subjective, but objectively they are quite mediocre (and that’s a compliment, believe me :-)). Bye. Now enough with voting for the album, okay? You've voted for it twice, you know that everyone can only vote for it once?

These depress me at least as much as good old Uncle Burzy, gracias for introducing them to me (by the way, do you know anything else that’s so black and depressing? Core, as much as you hate me, for once in life we agree :-) for me it’s a 4.5.
